Q) How would you describe your sound?

 

A) It’s a unique blend of Hip Hop & Pop with an EDM influence.

 

Q) Who are some of your musical influences?

 

A) We are influenced from a variety of musicians such as The Beatles, Kat Stevens and all the way to Biggie Smalls and Kanye West.

 

Q) Talk about the story behind your new song “Die Young.”

 

A)  It’s mainly about living your best life and not taking anything for granted.

 

Q) What do you think it is about the song that fans connect to?

 

A) We talk about relatable situations such as heartbreaks, going out with friends, and feeling like we need somebody when we’re down.

 

Q) How does the video for the track play into the message behind it?

 

A) It’s a complete difference in what’s being said. It was intentionally meant to look like a low budget video, instead of the typical yacht party vibe we could’ve gone for.

 

Q) Your single “Famous” marks a collaboration with The Mighty Riot. How did you come to work with them on the track?

 

A) We had worked with 1/2 of The Mighty Riot (Infinity) previously to the record and just stayed connected.

 

Q) What is your song writing process? Do you need music before you can create lyrics? 

 

A) We usually tend to start with melody and then work our way into concept and lyrics. The music and melodies are all created simultaneously.

 

Q) How much of hand do you have in the production of your music? 

 

A) We are extremely involved in the music creation process. We specifically tailor our songs while letting the producer add their touch to it.

 

Q) What can fans expect from a live XUITCASECITY performance?

 

A) It depends which setting we’re in. We are very versatile and can do anything from acoustic sets to DJ sets to playing with a live band.

 

Q) What songs off your EP CXTY NIGHTS are you looking forward to performing live?

 

A)“Die Young”and “Unlikely” are the two we are looking forward to the most!

 

Q) What do you hope listeners take away from listening to your new EP as a whole?

 

A) It’s not so much about the sound, but the feeling that this project will give you. Each time you hear one of the singles from the project we want it to take you back to a certain time or place. The overall vibe of the project is very chill, and we picture people listening to it as the sun is setting driving through the city. Hence the title, “CXTY NIGHTS.”

 

Q) Where are some of your favorite places to perform and what makes those locations so significant to you?

 

A) Not specific to a venue or city but love to perform everywhere We want to have an opportunity to connect with the fans

 

Q) What album/band are you currently listening to and why do you dig them? 

 

A) We are currently mainly listening to our stuff because we are perfectionists in a sense and want to master our craft.

 

Q) You are a part of social media. Why is that such an important way for you to connect with your fans?

 

A) Social media is the only way to connect with fans on a personal level. They get to see what we do day to day, which is awesome, and we can directly interact with them.
