Q) How would you describe your sound?

A) I would describe my sound as spacey or vibey. I try not to do too much and just create the vibe more than pounding lyrics honestly.

Q) Who are some of your musical influences?

A) Some of my musical influences would be T-Pain, Phil Collins, John Mayer and Kevin Gates.

Q) Talk about the story behind your new song “You Coming Back?”

A) So, I made “You Coming Back?” just being super inspired by summer and that nostalgic feeling of being in high school preparing for the summer at the beach falling in love and just embracing those times in my life.

Q) What do you think it is about the song that fans connect to?

A) I think fans can connect to the emotion and feeling of this record, just going through that love stage and the heartbreak. I’ve been through a lot of the same things as millions of people have. We all had that summer love once.

Q) What is your song writing process? Do you need music before you can create lyrics?

A) My song process is super simple and open. I just go into it with nothing and lay some melodies. My emotions will create the rest.

Q) Kmo the Bro lent a hand with production on this song, but how much of hand do you have when it comes to the production of your music?

A) I have absolutely no patience for production. [laughs] I give Kmo all the credit in production. He built the canvas. I just came through and Bob Ross’d it.

Q) Will there be a full album or EP coming in the near future?

A) I tend to not focus on building an EP unless there is a real concept behind it. It’s harder to get fans to listen to a project fully nowadays because there’s so much music going on. I find more success in singles. However, I do have a couple fun ideas laid out for a project, so maybe soon.

Q) With concerts currently on hold, what do you miss most about being on stage?

A) The thing I miss most about being on stage would have to be the energy and just that feeling of connection in person with fans seeing how my music uplifts their energy as a whole.

Q) How do you tend to shake off a long day in the studio?

A) After a long day in the studio, I’m probably going to be hanging out with my two son’s, Jupiter and Mars, or potentially turning up on some Call of Duty Warzone.

Q) Where are some of your favorite places to perform and what makes those locations so significant to you?

A) In all honesty, I like to perform anywhere they accept me. It has been different for me, but I just live for that energy and connecting with people. I’m a big people person.

Q) Who would you most like to collaborate with on a song in the future?

A) I have to get a T-Pain feature. He’s the main reason that I started making music and believing in myself, so that would be a full circle moment. Pain is an absolute legend.

Q) What album/band are you currently listening to and why do you dig them?

A) Right now, one of my favorite artists is Landstrip Chip. I really just dig the vibe combined with lyrics. Chip is super underrated, at the moment. He will have his time soon.

Q) You are a part of social media. Why is that such an important way for you to connect with your fans?

A) Social media has truly transcended the music industry by making everyone accessible to each other. I try to respond to every fan, every DM and every comment. I like to just be myself and I feel like social media allows that insight for our fans into our personal lives.

Q) What would you like to say to everyone who is a fan and supporter of you and your work?

A) To all of my fans, I just want to say that I’m truly grateful for all of you allowing me to share my music and emotions with you all. Hearing from you guys and how my music helps you drives me every day to be better than yesterday, and I take that personal for you guys.
