It’s meeting day and we find Tammy (Kristen Johnston) discussing with Jill (Jaime Pressly) about the snacks for the day. She complains over the fact that someone has brought vegetables but forgot to include the ranch dressing. Jill confesses that she is the one who did it because she feels that since she started dating Andy (Will Sasso) all she eats is meat and banana pudding. Tammy expresses that she is lucky to have someone who cooks for her, but the other woman doesn’t seem to agree so much with it. Jill asks Tammy to help her build a shelf where she can put all of Andy’s cooking stuff away and Tammy agrees.

Right that moment, the mother and daughter dynamic duo walk in acting all weird; in sync, both of them release themselves from their jackets and show the other two women what their new acquisitions have done to them. It turns out that they had listened to Jill’s advice and have gone to see her “bra lady”; they both are so pleased with what they bought that Christy (Anna Faris) refers to her as a “boob architect” meanwhile Bonnie (Allison Janney) says that she just “got lifted, separated and groped, but in a good way” and Jill is happy that she had managed to help them.

In the background, we can see Wendy (Beth Hall) and Marjorie (Mimi Kennedy) talking,  when suddenly, the second one receives a text from her son telling her to call him as soon as possible. She gets all nervous with not knowing what to do since this is the first time in years that he establishes any type of contact with her. So, Bonnie suggests her to call him right away given that she is available but the woman decides to go on with the meeting instead. Wendy proceeds to greet the group. When she starts to introduce herself it’s interrupted by Marjorie who confesses that she cannot wait to call her son any longer and leaves the room in a haste.

When the meeting is done the group of women gather next by the window spying on Marjorie and trying to figure out if she’s doing alright, but they don’t seem to have visibility of her. After a few minutes Marjorie walks in back in the room and sees the women still by the window and questions them about the reason. They realize that they have been spying on the wrong person all along. Marjorie happily announces to them that she is officially the grandmother of a girl named Sophia and her son wants her to go meet her.

Bonnie and Christy are driving Marjorie to her son’s house and the woman is grateful for the help since she didn’t feel like driving when that same morning she almost ate her cats’ food by mistake. She feels so excited that her son wants to see her after so many years, given the way she treated him. Bonnie reassures her by saying that even though he didn’t want to see her she never stopped sending him birthday cards. Although she never got anything in return, she never gave up. Marjorie still doesn’t know what to tell him after choosing booze over him so many years ago, but Bonnie and Christy find the way to encourage her to go and have fun.

On the other side of town Tammy finds herself at Jill’s house trying to build the shelf she requested while the blonde is sitting there by the kitchen going through Andy’s cooking books. Tammy asks how tall she wants the shelf to be and Jill tells her that she wants it in a way that she cannot see it. Andy witnesses it and in an attempt to explain it she kisses Tammy. Belinda (Michelle Arthur), the cleaning lady, walks into the scene and is sarcastically questioned by Jill if she has already cleaned the carpet in the master bedroom. Even though the woman assures her that she did, Jill asks her to do it again and then leaves to take a massage. Belinda asks Tammy what she wants for lunch and the woman says that she’ll finish before then so she’s not planning on having lunch there. Given Belinda’s experience with Jill, she knows very well that Tammy won’t be leaving any time soon.

In the meantime Christy and Bonnie are getting a manicure when they get a text from Marjorie asking them to pick her up as soon as possible, so they have to leave in the middle of their session. Back to Jill’s house, once she has finished her massage she returns to the kitchen where Tammy shows her the shelf she has just built for her. However, Jill doesn’t seem to be so pleased with the results and mentions that she had a different picture in mind for it. Apparently, what Jill was expecting was a shelf with sides, a top and doors. So, Tammy comes to the conclusion that what she really wanted was a cabinet so, she agrees on building it all again. Jill thanks her and leaves the room meanwhile Belinda asks Tammy how she wants her tuna sandwich.

Bonnie and Christy pick Marjorie from her son’s house and she tells them that everything was going well until she said that the baby looked cold and maybe needed a blanket. Her son suddenly started to scream at her out of nowhere that she would not tell him how to parent. Bonnie wants to speak with Marjorie’s son, but the woman stops her and just asks them to take her home. The next day at the meeting, Tammy tells Wendy that she built a shelf for Jill and then it turned out what she really wanted was a cabinet. She did it and then Jill said that it seemed to be “too closed-off” so they tried on glass doors. Then, Jill thought it was “too see-through.” Tammy seems to be so frustrated by that. All of a sudden Wendy starts to smile and Tammy wants to know why. The woman says that no one never vents to her so she is happy that someone does now.

Marjorie walks in and the women are relieved to see that she has attended a meeting. As soon as she enters she goes straight to Bonnie and scolds her for not knowing how to park her car and then complains about how horrible the coffee is there. She goes to find her seat next to Wendy. The meeting starts and Marjorie is tricked by Bonnie to speak about her feelings. So, she starts saying that even though she had been sober for years and sponsoring other women in her son’s eyes she will always be the mom he saw passed out on the sidewalk on his way to school. Although she had made amends to that and the idea that they would never have a relationship, everything changed since the moment he called her and allowed her to meet her beautiful granddaughter. Now she wishes he had never reached out to her at all.

While driving back from the meeting Bonnie and Christy start to discuss about how unfair they think it is that Marjorie’s son does not want anything to do with her and they decide that someone needs to tell him how great she is. So, just out of nowhere, Bonnie turns the car around and drives straight to the guy’s house. Back to Jill’s house, Tammy shows the woman the results of her work and it turns out that after building a series of shelves and cabinets Jill has decided to keep the very first one shelf that Tammy built and is very happy with it. She pays Tammy the $75 as they had agreed (something that does not make Tammy so happy) and asks Belinda to vacuum her carpet again once she is done setting Andy’s cooking stuff on the shelf. When she leave, Tammy is left with Belinda and Natalie (Karen Malina White) the house keepers and they seem to be amazed by the way Tammy had caught up with the situation and how she tricked Jill into thinking that using the original shelf was her idea. Tammy complains that she was paid less than she expected but the other two women say that this is how Jill works. They call it “Jill’s math.” They work extra hours but not get paid for it and Tammy tries to let them understand that is just not right.

Meanwhile, Bonnie and Christy pay a visit to Marjorie’s son Jerry (Wallace Langham) and they are welcome by his wife Amber (Jennifer Marsala). She calls for the man and tells him that his mother’s friends have come to see him. He doesn’t appear to be so happy with the news. Bonnie and Christy try to convince him that although Marjorie made a lot of mistakes the person he used to know does not exist anymore, but he refuses to understand. While trying to bring him to his senses, Christy starts to feel reflected in the man. Instead of giving a speech in Marjorie’s favor, she lets him know that is alright if he needs to take more time to forgive his mother and make amends with that. Bonnie is surprised to hear that and all of a sudden, they start an argument with one another realizing that there are things they still need to solve it out themselves.

Tammy decides to confront Jill about her behavior and makes her realize the horrible way she had treated Belinda and Natalie all along instilling some consciousness into the woman. Later that day, and after the awkward discussion they had at Jerry’s house, Bonnie and Christy meet at their living room and a vibe of awkwardness still lingers in the air. Before anything happens the doorbell rings and Bonnie is fast to open the door finding Marjorie standing there. She tells them that her son just called her and before she says anything else they start to blame each other about whose idea was to talk to Jerry. Marjorie tells them that he has decided he wants his daughter to start a relationship with her and she wants to thank them for it. The other two women are happy about the news and they begin to compliment each other and say how it was a team effort what they had accomplished.

At Jill’s house we see Tammy having a very good time eating a sandwich while Jill attends to her. She hasmanaged to make her friend step into the other woman’s shoes and it seems to be working just right.
