Q) How would you describe your sound?

A) I would describe my sound as big, unexpected, and colorful.

Q) As a singer/songwriter/classically- trained pianist and producer you empower the listener to embrace their madness and be authentically imperfect, loud and abrupt. How do you think that prepared you to get involved in the music industry?

A) I think that allowing myself to be flawed, to be who I am and to make mistakes has led me to my sound and helped develop my artistry. I think the best thing I could have done was try different musical genres, try new idea and stay open. Of course, I’m going to make mistakes along the way but that’s all part of the process and not fearing failure.

Q) Your single “Call Me Crazy “is out now and I have been listening to it on repeat.  What was your song writing process like? Did you have the lyrics or the music first?

A) Thank you for listening! Every song is different. For this one I started with the line, “Call Me Crazy,” and wrote around that idea and what that meant to me. I was feeling alone at the time and just wrote about it. I then added a few chords on the piano, next the bass line and it all fell together fairly quickly.

Q) My favorite part is the start of the song “I don’t fit in with the in crowd I speak a different language I got no one to play with.” During the songwriting process, were there any specific lyrics that you wrote that really resonated with you?

A) I always love singing, “I’m messy, loud, outrageous, tortured, but proud and shameless”, because to me that sums up how I feel most of the time! It’s a very unapologetic way of saying I can be messy and spastic and so what?

Q) What do you hope people take away from it?

A) When people listen to my song, I want them to feel less alone when they feel like they don’t belong. I hope they walk away knowing that it’s okay to be different and it’s okay to be exactly who they are, and quirks are superpowers! I want people to feel free and safe to be themselves in the face of rejection or adversity.

Q) The description behind “Call Me Crazy” says It’s an anthem for the outsiders and dreamers who choose to forge their own paths in life. Has there been any fan feedback you´ve received for the song, that has stood out?

A) hear that it inspires people and that’s always what I’m after!

Q) An official music video of the song is also on your YouTube channel. What´s the inspiration behind it and how does it resonate with the lyrics?

A) The music video depicts the dreamer always dreaming and my many versions of crazy. I felt crazy dreaming big in a small town (yellow room). I felt crazy trying to find my place in athletics and different social clubs (blue room). I felt crazy trying to be pretty and trendy (pink room)… and then, of course, we have the crazy cat lady for fun (green room). Nothing felt right until I started doing things my way and leaning into that very thing that so many have taunted me for. I’ve realized that crazy to one person is magic to another. And this video is to encourage the viewer to never let anyone water down their crazy.

Q) During the last year what were some of the songs and/or albums that sustained and inspired you?

A) Omg so many! The first two that come to and are the new Neighborhood album and the Dua Lipa album (I jog to that one). But I’m always on the hunt for new music!

Q) Your influences go from Miley Cyrus, Yungblud, 5SOS, Willow Smith and Halsey to Led Zeppelin, Gwen Stefani and Alanis Morissette. Who would you most like to collaborate with on a song in the future?

A) Omg hard question! Can I say all of them? I’d say most likely Yungblud.

Q) You have opened for acts including The Darkness, Ryan Cabrera, and Mark Ballas and BC Jean of Alexander Jean to name a few. Do you have any future plans of a tour or any upcoming concerts?

A) I have a few bookings in the works so stay tuned for dates! Performing has to be my favorite part.

Q) What has been the best advice you’ve been given when it comes to finding success as a musician?

A) I’ve been given a lot of wise words. One I heard recently that I love is, “Done is better than perfect,” which is similar to my favorite quote – “Art is never finished, only abandoned” because I’m such a perfectionist that I will overthink every song I write or choice I make and I have to accept that nothing will ever actually be “perfect.”

Q) What would you like to say to fans and supporters of you and your music?

A) Go after your dreams and your passions and never let anyone hold you back! You have the power to accomplish it!
