Q) When can we expect the release of more original music?

A) Hopefully soon! I’ve been writing a lot lately – just trying to decide what single to release next!

Q) Do you have any plans for an upcoming tour at all?

A) I wish! As of now, I’m mainly doing shows in the NYC or LA area but I’m dying to do more.

Q) Where did the inspiration for your lyrics to “When I Fall” come from?

A) I wrote “When I Fall” about the first time I met this guy. As soon as he walked in the room, I felt that spark between us and had to write about it.

Q) How does the vibe and the focus of the video for “When I Fall” connect with the message and lyrics of the song?

A) I definitely wanted the video to be fast paced and colorful to go with the EDM vibe of the track. I also wanted to reference some falling objects to reiterate the feeling of falling in love.

Q) How do you piece together your songs, do you work from melody and music to lyrics or the other way around?

A) Every writing session is different for me. I’m constantly jotting down lyric ideas in my Notes app on my phone or singing random melodies into the voice Memo app. Depending on my mood I usually look through some of those ideas and try to use that as a starting point for the session.

Q) How much hand in the production of your music do you have?

A) I’ve definitely loved being a part of the whole music making process. I was there in the studio with Veslocki and we handpicked every sound and every instrument that would go into the track for “When I Fall” together. It was a really awesome session and I think being involved in all parts of the creation of the track and song is incredible.

Q) How did Veslocki get involved with working on the track with you?

A) Veslocki and I have worked on a ton of covers and originals together for around four years now. We scheduled a writing session and finished the demo for “When I Fall” in a couple hours.

Q) What do hope that fans take away from listening to your music?

A) I hope that, through my music, I’m able to speak to people and have them connect with me. I hope my songs bring up emotions and feelings that other people are going through and dealing with as well and we’re all able to share in those feelings.

Q) How has it been with instant fan feedback through social media?

A) My “Alinators” are amazing. They have been so, so supportive of me and my original music through the years. It’s so cool to post a video or a song and instantly have people making collages or snap chatting themselves singing along to it.

Q) What can fans be doing to help promote your music?

A) SHARE IT! Like I said, my fans are the best and really do an awesome job of sharing my music on all of their social media platforms which is amazing!

Q) What do you think that the music industry has been lacking? What are some of the changes or movements you’d like to see and be a part of?

A) I think in this industry it’s easy for people to get caught up in the game of things. Musicians work really hard to get their music out there, but a lot of times people forget that supporting each other is the best way to do well in the end. If everyone would share each other’s work, EVERYONE would grow in the long run. I’d love to be a part of a group of musicians that feels the same way and wants to work together to build a community that builds each other up, not tears each other down.

Q) Is there anything else about your music you’d like to share with fans?

A) I just wanted to thank them again for letting me live my dreams on a daily basis. I love making music and it means the absolute world to me that people love listening to it as well. [smile]
