Q) What is the reason behind your artist name?

A) Well, “Rude” has been my nickname my whole life from my dad since I was a kid, and BadMood is kind of a joke because I try to be really nice to people. [laughs]

Q) Who are some of your musical inspirations?

A) Avril Lavigne is a huge inspiration to me!

Q) What was the process behind writing the song “Love Me?”

A) I’m a sucker for love and breakup songs and with Valentine’s Day coming up I wanted to make a love song! I have a breakup song coming out on Valentine’s Day.

Q) How did you come to collaborate with Lil Xan?

A) After I had “Love Me” recorded my manager reached out to his team and he loved it.

Q) What can you tell us about your style of music and what kind of vibes you want it to give out?

A) I try to make music for whatever mood I’m in and it’s been a huge outlet for me when I’m sad. So, I probably give out a lot of “sad vibes,” but I want people to feel like they have someone to relate to when they hear my music.

Q) This year you’ll be performing live for the first time. What can fans expect from your upcoming performances?

A) Lots of fun and lights. [laughs]

Q) You had the support of your family, especially your grandma. What advice would you give to up and coming individuals with a dream to pursue music?

A) My advice would be to make music for yourself and the people who love you, support will come.

Q) Who would you most like to collaborate with in the future?

A) There are a lot of people I’d love to make music with! Lil Aaron, Eliozie, Mysticphonk, VELVETEARS and I’d love to do even more songs with Lil Xan or MOD SUN – they’re wonderful people.

Q) What venues do you dream about performing at?

A) Anywhere my supports are! I just want to be able to meet everyone. [laughs]

Q) Will fans be able to expect a full album or EP in the near future?

A) Maybe, you never know.

Q) What would you like to say to everyone who is a fan and supporter of you and your music?

A) That I love and appreciate them. It means more to me than they even realize I’m sure. I don’t like the word fan. I consider them all my friends and I am grateful.
