Melissa Strong – Utopia Falls

Q) What are the recent projects that you are working on?

A) It’s currently pilot season in LA. I am working with Bicoastal agents auditioning.  I currently have a Romantic Comedy movie on The Hallmark Channel entitled From Friend to Fiancé.  I play the role of Lauren.  I am also working and a few writing projects:

Documentary entitled Caribbean Americans

Comedy Series “Co-Dependent Friends”

Comedy Series: “Rich Girl of Compton”

Q) Please tell us the premise for “Utopia Falls.”

A) “Utopia Falls” is a Sci- Fi

Q) What made you want to be a part of the series?  

A) I was told a sculpture was going to be made of me and I thought this would be an amazing opportunity to have a sculpture of me in my home town, Toronto.

Q) How was your character Gia originally described to you?

A) Gia was described as a Goddess, Founder of the land that leads the people.

Q) Your character is admired by the people of Utopia Falls. Did you have much say in how your image would be used for the series?

A) It is an honor to have the sculpture and your pictures admired. I had no idea how the whole creative would come together; however, I am very happy with it and hope it is inspiring for the audience to watch.

Q) Was there a special photoshoot done just for your character?

A) Yes, we did an additional day for there to be a photoshoot of Gia.

Q) You are a part of social media. What kind of fan feedback have you received to the show?

A) Overall the feedback is positive.

Q) What do you think it is about “Utopia Falls” that will make it a fast fan favorite series?

A) The Sci-Fi Story of music in the future make it unique.

Q) What would you like to say to everyone who are fans and supporters of the work you do?

A) Thank you for taking the time to have interest in me as an artist and the new HULU Show “Utopia Falls” and my character “Gia.”
