Q) You’ve come a long way, at 17-years-old, already have done CMA’s Music Festival in Nashville, now releasing “I Feel a Sin.” How has your journey led you to this song you are singing now?

A) I think that in the music industry you have to grow up really fast, and with growing up comes experimenting until you find out the artist that you want to be.  Sometimes with experimenting a little rebellion is necessary.  That’s what “I Feel A Sin” is about. Teenage angst.

Q) When you venture into this acoustic slow sultry melody, you have a part at the very end of the song where you giggle it off, can you tell us what that small laugh at the end is about?

A) Honestly, I can’t remember I used to giggle as a nervous habit, but I wasn’t nervous in the studio. Leland Grant the producer of “I Feel A Sin” is pretty funny and sarcastic. Probably something he said!

Q) What has it been like creating the sound to this song, what equipment did you use?

A) He has a very nice home studio. A cute lil booth with Christmas lights in June. Maybe that’s why I was laughing.

Q) When you sing this hit new single your vocals really shine, what vocal techniques do you use to achieve these beautiful sounds with your voice?

A) The truth of it is I’m not sure. I’ve been vocally trained since I was eleven years old by an opera teacher at first. She really shaped the vibrato in my voice, but everything else came naturally. It’s hard when you’re young with a big voice you just wanna belt. I had to figure out how to hone those soft sensual parts.

Q) You sing in the lyrics, “I feel a sin coming on,” and “God knows I’ve done wrong,” why are these lyrics important to the song?

A) It’s true. That’s exactly how I was feeling. A little bit of guilt, but really grown up. I didn’t realize that I wasn’t grown up at all, actually the opposite.

Q) What do you hope people take away from these lyrics?

A) It’s okay to have moments where you rebel and moments that you aren’t proud of. That’s what makes us human.  My pops said, “You do the crime, you do the time.”  I guess that applies to all facets of life.

Q) Who would most like to collaborate with on a song in the future?

A) I’d probably say Chris Stapleton or Lana Del Rey. She’s super vibey and his voice is otherworldly.

Q) How do you shake off a long day in the studio?

A) A shower.

Q) Will there be a full album or EP coming in the near future?

A)  I hope so. I have so much music I’ve made into a project that could be a album. I want too. Sometime soon.

Q) What would you like to say to your fans?

A)  I love you all dearly!  Thank you for all the support.  When I take the stage, I will leave it all there… Every ounce of my passion and emotion.  I want you to walk away and say good Lord that girl has a fire in her and I can’t wait to see her again.
