Charlie (Eden Brolin) is outside at a bus stop blowing off steam when she sees the police heading towards the bowling alley. Holden (Burkely Duffield) and Diego (Oscar Camacho) are fighting it out though Diego seems able to shrug off his Holden’s attack though and is stronger than him. The police break up the fight and arrest Diego.

The title card rolls then we move to a café where Luke (Jonathan Whitesell) and Willa (Dilan Gwyn) are talking. Willa is upset after the confrontation with Holden at the bowling alley and venting. She questions Luke about what she knows about Charlie. He in turn asks about if there were other coma victims who emerged with powers. Luke jokes with her about Mortal Kombat, the game they went to the arcade to play and thanks him for being there for her in recent times. Luke tries to play it off but Willa refuses to let him reaching out to take his hand. This causes Luke to say they need to stop and after Willa doesn’t understand what he means. He explains that he has feelings for her. After his confession Willa is silent for quite some time until Luke prompts her and she then leaves calling herself an idiot.

Sheriff Dayton (Toby Levins) is in his office speaking to Holden first reassuring him that he knows that Holden didn’t start the fight or kill the bowling alley manager. He then makes a point about the amount of times Holden becomes involved in violent incidents. When Holden says these things keep finding him Sheriff Dayton asks why, but Holden doesn’t supply a real answer. Before leaving, Holden requests a chance to speak to Diego to get him to tell him why he was attacked and the sheriff agrees.

Diego tells Holden that what he did in the Realm freed “them” and now there are in our world to run amok. Diego offers to show Holden what he sees and grabs him by the arm through the bars causing Holden to see a vision of his family eating dinner at home before the room blows up around them. He is eventually pulled away from Diego and the vision by the officer nearby. When Holden leaves the police station he finds Charlie waiting on the steps and she’s unaware of what took place so is shocked by Holden being beaten up.

Holden fills her in on everything he had learned only for her to ask him to run away with her from all the bad things that are happening as she is making her plea Holden gets a call from Jeff (Jeff Pierre), which only makes Charlie more insistent. Holden then tells her that her offer is not about protecting him, it is because she’s scared. He argues that she runs away from her problems including her sister, avoiding him and dealing with Arthur while Charlie is reeling he snatches back his phone and answers Jeff’s call. The two make plans to find out about Edgar Allan. Charlie calls Holden an idiot and he agrees and then asks if she will be here when he gets back. She doesn’t give an answer and he leaves.

Jeff and Christine (Parveen Kaur) are folding clothes for Christine’s upcoming visit to her parents as the two talk. Jeff tells her that he and Holden will be going on a trip while she is away and Christine is immediately concerned and tells him to be careful. He reassures her he will be fine. Christine reveals that she has been invited to some sort of Helping Hands retreat and she says that Jeff is invited to though he asks that they talk about it when they both get back.

Over at the house Tom (Michael McGrady) has told Diane (Romy Rosemont) what he did to Pastor Ian and they discuss what to do next. Diane is concerned because Tom has a previous conviction, but Tom thinks that he should hand himself in so they can deal with Pastor Ian’s surveillance of the house.

The Man In The Yellow Jacket (Peter Kelamis) is being briefed by his assistant (Natalie Moon) when they are interrupted by another employee who fills in MITYJ on what has been happening at Fort Reed. He decides to deal with it personally and not tell Shoemacher. Pastor Ian is preparing for a service when he is surprised by TMITYJ who tells him he is there representing Hollow Sky. When he is questioned about accessing the surveillance footage from Holden’s house, Pastor Ian denies all knowledge. TMITYJ makes it clear that any evidence of the footage should be deleted or there will be consequences.

Diane is frantically looking for cameras, trashing the living room in the process when Luke comes in and is understandably freaked out. Diane comes clean about working with the FBI to investigate Hollow Sky. Luke asks if she has ever considered that Holden might have secrets of his own and is angry at his parents and how he is treated compared to Holden.

Holden and Jeff are at the institution preparing to see Edgar (Jay Paulson) they meet with Dr. Tolan (Jennifer Spence) who takes them to see him. She tells them about his mysterious ability to start fires and says she has been researching Arthur Forman’s work. Edgar is nonresponsive to questions until Holden reveals who is truly is. He then asks “They’re here, aren’t they?”

Charlie is at the police station waiting to give her statement when she begins to hear something calling her name. She follows the voice downstairs into lockup where Diego is being held. He preys on her fears about her sister Annabelle (Raquel McPeek Rodriguez) and then sends her a nightmarish vision of her sister at their old house with everything beginning to decay until Diego himself appears and sucks the life out of her sister before Charlie’s eyes. She screams and wakes from the vision still standing across from Diego who is in his cell. She then quickly leaves.

Edgar is happy to be talking to someone other than Hollow Sky who visit him every week to try and get information out of him. He reveals that the freezer he buried is a direct link to the Realm and that he knows about the creatures from the Realm who crossed over. He explains that Holden’s sleepwalking is actually the Realm’s way of communicating with him. Their discussion is interrupted by Hollow Sky who have come for their visit. Edgar provides a distraction while Jeff and Holden leave.

Charlie is trying to call Anabelle, her sister, as she heads back to her hotel room only to find Willa in there with her gun. She’s figured out that Charlie was the one who broke into her grandfather’s home and wants answers. Willa threatens to tell the police but Charlie knows the threat is hollow. Willa asks why Charlie hates his grandfather and she explains in detail that he destroyed her life and threw her away when she was no longer useful to him. Charlie refuses to answer why she didn’t kill him and reveals that Holden was attacked something that Willa didn’t know.

Tom is at the police station trying to turn himself in and becomes enraged when he learns about the attack on Holden, including the fact that Diego is wanted by the police in Argentina for killing his parents when Miss Hayley identifies him seemingly in connection with the attack on Pastor Ian. Tom gets arrested when he refuses to calm down after learning about Diego being on the premises. While he is lead away we see Ramon (Jorge Vargas) is at the station spying for Hollow Sky.

The Man In The Yellow Jacket is at his daughter’s Emily (Ava Grace Cooper) recital when Ramon comes to report on what he has found out. He tells TMITYJ that Holden’s parents are speaking to the cops but it appears that Pastor Ian is remaining quiet. TMITYJ is not going to tell Shoemacher about what is going on currently. Luke is at home and searches his mother’s purse and finds the card the FBI Agent left with her. Pastor Ian is at home watching the surveillance videos from Holden’s house, we then see Tom being processed at the police station and Charlie showing up where Jeff and Holden are currently located.

Holly the assistant at Hollow Sky is monitoring things on the level with all the people placed in cryogenic sleep when something disturbs her and she goes to check on the units, she is startled when a hand slaps against the window of one of the units and then one by one all the other people in the units start pounding on their respective windows with the show ending on one of the hands smashing through the window as Holly looks on terrified.
