Q) What are the recent projects that you are working on?

A) I’m currently on set for a feature film I wrote called Buffaloed. The movie stars Zoey Deutch as a badass woman desperate to leave blue collar Buffalo. (You will see a little cameo from me, as well.)

Q) What is new this season on the series “Wrecked?”

A) This season is the best yet. We find ourselves stuck on a deranged billionaire’s island. Instead of saving us, he provokes the whole team to fight each other to the death. PEOPLE MAY DIE. (Not in real life — like, movie die.)

Q) What made you initially want to be a part of the series?

A) Money. I’m joking. The pilot script was laugh-out-loud funny. The Shipley Brothers (the creators) have such a unique voice. I needed to be a part of the show.

Q) How was Danny originally described to you?

A) Danny has always been a misguided, nice guy. Kind of like me, except for the nice part.

Q) Was there anything you added to the role that wasn’t scripted for you?

A) Since the beginning, we’ve all improvised a ton on set. The Shipley Brothers love that. For example, in Season One, there is a scene where I twirl an imaginary gun with my fingers. I did a short version of that in a take. Then, the Shipley’s came out and gave me more ideas of what to add to it. We kept adding and adding, doing whatever made us laugh. The final version was a 90-second long extensive gun twirl moment. It still makes me laugh.

Q) Were you familiar with any of your costars before working on the show?

A) I knew Will Greenberg. We performed together in the 2007 Aspen Comedy Festival. Will is a champion of comedy.

Q) We learned in the first two seasons that Danny comes from a rich family and was flying to Thailand to meet a girl he met online. What will we discover about him this season?

A) Hmm…I don’t know what I can share that won’t spoil anything. I’ll say this…I sing more in this season than I have in 20 years.

Q) What is it about Owen that draws Danny to him?

A) Danny is always looking for someone to believe in him. Owen (Zach Cregger) is the only one that gives him a chance.

Q) With the castaways on the run this season, was there any costars you hadn’t filmed with much or at all that you were excited to share more scenes with this season?

A) I got to spend an episode with the “rich guys” — Jonno Roberts, Eugene Cordero, Will Hines and Robert Baker. They are insanely talented, and I had a blast being on camera with them all.

Q) You have great comedic timing. Is it something that has always come natural for you or have you had to work at it?

A) My parents had me performing little skits from the moment I could speak. Then, my brother and I started making comedy videos in our tween years. I was trained to be funny from a young age. It paid off.

Q) You are a part of social media. Do you enjoy the instant fan feedback you receive to the episodes?

A) Yeah! I love when our fans engage!

Q) What do you think it is about “Wrecked” that has made it such a fan favorite?

A) It’s both funny and action-packed — who could ask for more?!!

Q) What would you like to say to everyone who is a fan and supporter of your work?

A) THANK YOU!! And keep watching!!!
