Q) How would you describe your sound?

A) I would describe my sound as topical pop!

Q) Who are some of your musical influences?

A) Some of my musical influences are Sabrina Carpenter, Madison Beer and Melanie Martinez.

Q) What is it about artist Melanie Martinez that makes her such a musical role model for you?

A) All of her music is so much deeper than people would expect. I love how she can release music about real-world struggles and disguise it with a babydoll theme. I hope in the future to release music that makes people think and feel inspired.

Q) Talk about the story behind your song “Closer.”

A) “Closer” is about a girl who struggles with social anxiety so her friends have to force her to leave the house and go to a party with them. There she meets a boy and forgets about all of her problems and gets to dance the night away as if she were in a fairytale.

Q) What do you think it is about the song that fans connect to?

A) Definitely the sound. It makes you want to get up and start dancing around your room with a hairbrush.

Q) How did you come to decide to release it as an acoustic track?

A) I decided to release an acoustic track of “Closer” first to kind of let my fans get a small taste of the song because the fully produced one was not finished yet and I was just too excited to share it.

Q) How does the video for the track play into the message behind it?

A) It plays the exact way you think it would! Girl meets boy and they dance all night!

Q) What advice would you give to others suffering from social anxiety?

A) For anyone suffering from social anxiety, I would like to tell them that no matter how much they want to stay home they really should try and push their limits to help get them out of their comfort zone. When I decide to do things and talk to people I normally wouldn’t, I feel strong and accomplished and I really believe it’s those small steps that help the most.

Q) What is your songwriting process? Do you need music before you can create lyrics?

A) When I write songs, I like to write the lyrics and then bring them to my producers, who always do a great job at portraying the music I hear in my head.

Q) How much of hand do you have in the production of your music?

A) I decided to buy a whole production set up in my Nashville apartment a few months ago to start learning, but it has been a process. So, as of right now, I’m not much help to my producers.

Q) Will there be a full album or EP coming in the near future?

A) Hopefully, there will be an EP coming soon! [smiles]

Q) Where are some of your favorite places to perform and what makes those locations so significant to you?

A) Growing up I would perform at county fairs and school events for my high school. Going back to those places and being able to perform again is sentimental to me.

Q) Who would you most like to collaborate with on a song in the future?

A) For sure my friend Kings. She is an amazing singer who is a social media influencer as well.

Q) We love your Tik Tok performances! What inspires them?

A) Thank you! I like to recreate the current trends with my own twist. Any props or cute outfits I can find, really make the video, me!

Q) More people are getting into Tik Tok these days. Do you have any advice for new users?

A) For all the new users, make sure to post every day if you want to gain followers quickly. That gives you a better chance of more people seeing your content. Always recreate the trends and use the trending sounds, those are how you get noticed and on other people’s for you page.

Q) You are a part of social media. Why is that such an important way for you to connect with your fans?

A) It is so important for me to connect with fans so that they can understand how much I appreciate them and give back to them by re-posting their artwork and edits and messing them on a daily basis.

Q) What would you like to say to everyone who is a fan and supporter of you and your work?

A) I want them to know how much their support means to me and how I wouldn’t be where I am if it wasn’t for them. I want them to know I answer my messages on Instagram very frequently and love to interact with them! [smiles]
