Q) Your sound is a mix of pop and música Mexicana. How would you describe your sound though?

A) I would describe my sound as popmexa, pop corridos.

Q) Who are some music artists that influenced you when you were growing up?

A) The artists who influenced me the most because I grew up listening to them were Justin Bieber and Sebastián Yatra and also Bad Bunny influenced me because of the many different genres I’ve explored.

Q) You have known you wanted to make music at a very young age. Your parents were in support of you taking vocal lessons at six years old. How has their approval and support helped you grow as an artist over the years?

A) My family’s support has influenced my career a lot. Thanks to them, I do things with more confidence and more drive.

Q) What was the inspiration for your newest single “Hailey?”

A) My inspiration behind “Hailey” was a mix of 2016 pop with a touch of what is being heard today. I was also very inspired by the fact that I was in love while writing that song. [laughs]

Q) You had many different singles come out in 2025. “Hailey” has a more buildable sound that escalated throughout the song. It also has harder beats that make the listener want to dance. However, the lyrics aren’t completely happy. Can you talk about the juxtaposition for this track?

A) The contrast in this track has to do with me wanting to write about the feeling of being in love and the anxiety of trying to win over someone who has been hurt before and finds it hard to trust. I feel like the sound of “Hailey” goes very well with those romantic lyrics.

Q) How do you think it has shown your growth as a musician?

A) This song shows my evolution as a musician very well. It demonstrates that I am a versatile artist by stepping into urban sounds with a beat. My music is usually Regional Mexican.

Q) What is your songwriting process? Do you need music before you can create a beat?

A) I start my songwriting process with the music and the melody of the song first, before writing the first verses and choruses.

Q) You are vocally trained and write your own music, are there any instruments that you play or would want to learn to play in the future?

A) I play a bit of piano and I’m learning guitar. It’s something I’d like to play at a high level in the future.

Q) Congratulations on performing at SXSW! What kind of stage performance did you prepare for your newest single “Hailey” for the festival?

A) Thank you very much! It wouldn’t have been possible without my team and all the people who have always been supporting me. The show was rehearsed a lot and prepared specifically for those who were waiting to hear “Hailey” live.

Q) What went into the determining your set list for your show there?

A) I always like to prepare my set list to include covers that no one else sings and perform them in my own style and then mix in my own songs.

Q) What was your favorite part about performing at SXSW?

A) My favorite part of performing at SXSW was being able to meet more artists and chat with them and singing along with my people in Austin.

Q) Who were you looking forward to seeing perform live yourself while at SXSW?

A) I was looking forward to seeing Junior H and Fuerza Regida at SXSW, but I didn’t get the chance to see them. I was also looking forward to seeing Delilah, who is very talented, perform at our showcase.

Q) With “Hailey” out now, is this a prelude to a full album or EP?

A) “Hailey” is a preview of future albums that I’d like to release in the urban genre and also a mix of more to come from my project.

Q) Who are some artists that you would love to collaborate with on music in the future?

A) I would like to collaborate with Justin Bieber, Bad Bunny and Peso Pluma in the future and to keep elevating Música Mexicana.

Q) What would you like to say to the fans of you and your music?

A) I would like to tell my fans to dream big. I’m still just a kid with many complexities and many dreams yet to fulfill, and don’t let any negative comments discourage you or take away your faith in achieving giant things. Work three times harder than everyone else, do things with the same passion as always and you’ll see that you will definitely make a lot of progress.
