Q) What are the recent projects that you are working on?

A: I’m currently working on “Anne with an E” for Netflix & CBC so that keeps my plate quite full at the moment.

Q) Please tell us the premise for “Summer of 84” and about your character Curtis.

A: Basically, during the Summer of 1984 Davey Armstrong (Graham Verchere) is convinced that his neighbor is the serial killer that’s been all over the news. So, he gets his three best friends to join him in an investigation into the private life of Davey’s neighbor, which leads to some very exciting and dangerous adventures.

Q) What made you want to be a part of the film?

A: At first it was just another audition as usual, but when I read the script I decided I loved it and did everything I could to be a part of it. Also, when I met the rest of the cast and crew, they were all so nice to me and that’s what made me really love this experience.

Q) Was there anything you added to Curtis that wasn’t originally scripted for you?

A: My job as an actor is to understand the picture that the director(s) have in their mind and then bring that to life. So, that’s exactly what I did.

Q)What were some of your most memorable moments from filming?

A: The first couple days the cast were filming in this little 5×9 foot tree house and we really bonded over those days crammed in a tiny place, which was really enjoyable for me.

Q)There were three directors for the film. What was it like having more than one person advising you?

A: It was so great! They all worked like one mind telling us what to do and they worked so smoothly together is was like having one person there.

Q) What do you think it is about Summer of 84 that will make it a fast fan favorite horror movie?

A: It’s all the twists and turns that the movie takes making you think twice about your closest neighbors and really pushing the shock factor that makes this such a great movie.

Q) You are a part of social media. Do you enjoy the instant fan feedback you receive to the projects you do?

A: I love it. I love things like fan edits and all the support that I’m shown. It really warms my heart.
