Q) How would you describe your sound?

A) My sound is a mixture of electronic alternative pop inspired by my Azerbaijani culture.

Q) Who are some of your musical influences?

A) As a performer, Lady Gaga only.

Q) Talk about the story behind your new song “Beautiful Long Hair.”

A) I’m trying to bring down people with beautiful long hair as I’ve always met guys with long hair who have big egos. During the chorus I try to bring their ego down by saying “something nasty stuck in your hair, it’s just spider please don’t be scared.”

Q) How did you come up with the idea to have the melody built in the Azerbaijani musical scale, Chargah?

A) It’s in my blood, I can’t control it. All these riffs and melodic embellishments come naturally. Then, I work on it professionally to synthesize the western and eastern culture throughout the production.

Q) What do you think it is about the song that fans connect to?

A) I’m sure all of us loved Tarzan when we were younger.

Q) What is your song writing process? Do you need music before you can create lyrics?

A) Not really. In this particular song I wrote the lyrics before the melody and music, so it happens naturally right after the culmination of what I experience.

Q) Pat Alvarez and Emin Karim lent a hand with the production on “Beautiful Long Hair.” How much of hand do you typically have with the production side of your music?

A) Well, let’s start from the fact that I can define exactly what I want out of the production, and they are able to present me options which can help us move forward, whichever best suits my vision. I also participated in the production sessions. For example, in “Beautiful Long Hair” it had a complex piano performance which was created by me.

Q) Will there be a full album or EP coming in the near future?

A) My EP will be out by the end of this year.

Q) Where are some of your favorite places to perform and what makes those locations so significant to you?

A) At the minute, I love performing in smaller, more intimate venues so I can be closer to the people listening to my music.

Q) Who would you most like to collaborate with on a song in the future?

A) Lady Gaga

Q) We love your work with the disabled LGBTQIA+ community. What inspired you to get so involved with this kind of philanthropy?

A) Most of the people I collaborate with, including my closest friends, are from the LGBTQIA+ community. Some people from these communities are also disabled ,which often mean they experience setbacks despite their ambition to succeed in the music industry. I want to be able to help these communities in any way I can.

Q) You’re also working towards opening a non-profit organization called “Emin Eminzada Foundation.” What is the mission you hope to explore with this organization?

A) The main aim of the foundation is to help DIY musical artists realize their creative ideas can be achieved at a professional level.

Q) How would you suggest others get more involved in lending a hand with the work you have planned for the EEF?

A) By donating to the foundation

Q) You are a part of social media. Why is that such an important way for you to connect with your fans?

A) Social media is a great way to build a direct relationship with your fans.

Q) What would you like to say to everyone who is a fan and supporter of you and your work?

A) Thank you so much. I love you.
