While Sam (Rose McIver) and Jay (Utkarsh Ambudkar) are enjoying a leisurely time together, Sasappis (Román Zaragoza) enters the room asking Sam to tell Jay to move out of a chair that is bathed in a shaft of sunlight daily so he can sit in it. As Jay agrees and Sasappis takes over the seat, Trevor (Asher Grodman), Isaac (Brandon Scott Jones) and Thorfinn (Devan Chandler Long) rush into the room and realize that they are too late to take the chair. To bargain for the opportunity to sit in the chair, the men start to offer backrubs to Sasappis but are no match for Hetty’s (Rebecca Wisocky) offer of backrubs to Sasappis. For the ghosts, backrubs are a form of currency. It is Hetty’s offer that makes Sasappis agree to give her the chair and Hetty basks in her glorious win over getting “the shaft.”

Later on both Sam and Jay head over to the Farnsby residence for a yard sale they are holding. While Jay tries to figure out how to haggle over a lamp he likes and Henry (Mark Linn Baker) Farnsby’s deceased mother Judy (Lindsey Broad) calls her son every name under the sun for getting rid of her things, Sam notices another Viking on the property. She realizes that Jay does not see the Viking so she makes up an excuse to get inside the Farnsby residence to find out who is this Viking. Meanwhile, unbeknownst to Jay, he stumbles upon some upside-down pineapples, not realizing that showing any interest in those pineapples means that the Farnsbys are swingers. Henry now believes that Jay’s interest in the pineapples means that Sam and Jay share his and Margaret’s sexual interests.

Back at Woodstone and sitting in a now-cold chair, Trevor tells Pete (Richie Moriarity) that he is upset that Hetty always manages to win everything with her never-ending wealth of backrubs. As Pete listens to Trevor complain how he never gets the chance to win over Hetty, Pete reminds Trevor that Hetty has been around longer. But when Pete mentions TV time, Trevor starts to get an idea on how he can beat Hettonce and for all.

Sam finally locates the Viking inside the house. When she mentions Thorfinn, the Viking introduces himself as Bjorn (Christian Jadah): Thorfinn’s son who came to find his father. In his search to find his father, Bjorn died on the property where the Farnsby residence now stands. Bringing this information back to Thorfinn at Woodstone with Isaac and Flower (Sheila Carrasco) present, Sam explains that Bjorn is two residences away from Thorfinn and has been so for over a thousand years. Thorfinn then tells the story about how when he last saw Bjorn as a little boy, Bjorn could not even say “Goodbye Father” before Thorfinn went on the voyage that would take him away from his family for good.

With Sam prepared to answer Thorfinn’s questions with information from Bjorn’s life, Thorfinn starts asking Sam questions that she is unable to answer. As Sam relays the plight of being two houses away from the Farnsby residence, Jay then has an idea and brings Sam and Thorfinn to the bedroom. There Jay shows Thorfinn how he and Bjorn can communicate from the window as it faces the second-floor window of the Farnsby residence. Sam decides that her and Jay need to find a way back into the Farnsby residence to bring Bjorn to the window to communicate.

With TV time approaching and Hetty trying to convince Alberta (Danielle Pinnock) to give up her for Hetty’s favorite British show “Bodices and Barons,” Alberta unfortunately informs Hetty that she sold her TV time to Trevor. As Sasappis and Pete also admit that they sold their TV time to Trevor, Trevor enters the room and admits that he bought everyone’s TV time and is willing to give them back their time at a reasonable mark-up…or they can enjoy watching The Cutting Edge on repeat for the next month. Hetty is aware of what Trevor is doing as he tries to sell everyone back their TV time, eventually having the group band together against Trevor as they boycott his choice of programming.

As Thorfinn anxiously awaits the opportunity to speak with his son, Isaac notices that Sam has left her notepad with all the info of Bjorn’s life on it. Unfortunately, as Isaac starts reading off the information, Thorfinn comes to find that Bjorn has married a Dane and had three children with her, which Thorfinn considers a great injustice as he tried to teach his son how Danes are the enemy. Realizing that Bjorn has consorted with the enemy, Thorfinn claims that he has no son and storms off, Isaac and Flower needing to find a way to convince Thorfinn to get to the window.

Sam and Jay arrive at the Farnsby residence with the lamp they purchased at the yard sale, bringing it under the ruse that they are returning the lamp to gain entry into the house and to Bjorn. Unbeknownst to Sam and Jay, Henry and Margaret believe that the couple is there for the swingers party they are holding and eagerly invite them in. When Sam goes to use the bathroom to find Bjorn, Jay is led into the living room where other swingers are present. Sam manages to find Bjorn and lead him to the window, but back at Woodstone Isaac and Flower have to find a way to convince Thorfinn to go talk to him. Eventually, Isaac gets Thorfinn to the window, despite Thorfinn’s need to tell Bjorn how disappointed he is in him for marrying a Dane.

During TV time, Hetty walks into the room to find Trevor all alone watching The Cutting Edge. In a heartfelt talk with Trevor, Hetty tells him that having wealth is not always about money…it’s also about having friends. Through her speech, she manages to remind Trevor about the importance of friendship over amassing wealth and being alone. Trevor decides to return everyone’s TV time to them and believes he is doing the right thing, until Hetty’s shrewd business nature kicks back in and she buys Alberta’s TV time to watch Bodices and Barons.” Sasappis reminds Trevor that this is how Hetty remains on top with her backrub wealth.

Back at the Farnsby residence Jay is confused but enjoying how pleasant Henry and Margaret are being towards him. Fortunately, that confusion is short lived as he sees everyone start disrobing in front of him. Upstairs Sam and Bjorn continue to wait by the window. Eventually, Thorfinn makes it to the window and is all prepared to spew hatred at his son until Bjorn calls him “Father” and reminds him of the last time he saw him. Thorfinn immediately softens and spends a moment shouting back and forth with his son. While Sam is excited for their reunion, Jay comes into the room and convinces Sam that they need to leave the Farnsby house immediately. Later that night as Sam and Jay are lying in bed, Thorfinn decides to take the opportunity to keep catching up with his son and to let him know why the Danes are such evil people. As Jay can go to sleep, Sam is kept up by the shouting.
