Cassie (Catherine Bell) is baking some chocolate cupcakes while speaking to Sam (James Denton) about Abigail’s (Sarah Power) upcoming chocolate exhibition. Sam tells her that he will meet the new chief of administration and Cassie suggests him to give him some chocolates, but the man decides not to. Sam leaves to the hospital, but before he stops by at the bistro to give Stephanie (Kylee Evans) a chocolate chai that Cassie has sent. Adam (Scott Cavalheiro) is also there having some breakfast. Stephanie goes to the kitchen to make some coffee for Sam and then Donovan (Marc Bendavid) arrives still concerned about his situation with Abigail. Adam and Sam invite him to go bowling with them and, even though he is not the mood to go, they manage to convince him. Donovan goes to Priscilla’s property in order to find a clue to break the curse and is surprised to see Abi there doing the same since they agreed to try not to be on the same place together. As they are discussing about situation a rock falls and nearly hits Abigail, but Donovan manages to get her out of the way before it does.

Cassie is still baking some cupcakes when Joy (Katherine Barrell) walks in carrying a ceramic bird and asking her if she believes that George (Peter MacNeill) could build a stand for it. The bird is a gift that her mother gave her and she would like to give it a proper place. Joy looks at the recipes book that Cassie is using and she tells her that it belonged to her grandmother Laurel. Abi arrives and joins the conversation Joy keeps looking through the pages of the book and finds a recipe called The Truth Chocolates and Cassie explains that Eunice Merriwick wanted to know if Thomas Hillcrest’s (a man who courted her) love was real and used the chocolates. When Joy asks her what the woman found, Cassie tells her that she found that “the truth will set you free.” So, she recommends avoiding the truth chocolates and stick to the cupcakes.

Later that day a man named Kenny Cooper (Kristian Bruun) arrives at the Grey House to be the keynote speaker at Abigail’s exhibition. The man is welcomed by Cassie and Abi. Cassie lets him know that his father stayed at the Grey House once and it made quite the impression. He makes his way around the house and asks them to tell him about the exhibition. Joy’s business partner Donna (Elise Bauman) pays a visit to her and is not welcomed in a very pleasant way. Joy is mad at her for committing to a client to an impossible deadline that almost costs them their reputation, but the other woman tells her that she didn’t do it and it’s a lie from the client. Donna explains that she is there to give her a solution and hands her an envelope that contains the papers to dissolve their business.

Sam finally meets with the new chief of administration Grant Collins (Lindsay Owen Pierre) who is settling his stuff at the office. The doctor realizes that he likes to play basketball and they share a conversation about it. Grant makes it clear that he only cares about achieving their goals through a very methodical plan but still surprises Sam when he proposes to buy new equipment for knee surgery and he immediately supports his idea.

George and Cassie go to the bistro and speak about the upcoming Bowling League; George feels disappointed that one of the players got injured and now they don’t know how to replace him. Martha (Catherine Disher) arrives and tells him that back in the day she used to play but not anymore. Cassie says that to judge by the trophies at her office, she was very good, and George invites her to join the team. The woman appreciates the invitation but says that her and bowling have a complicated relationship and don’t think it’s a good idea. Abi is at her store when a man named Jason (Zach Smadu) walks in and greets Abi happily. The woman is surprised to see him there and he says he is there to fulfill the promise they made each other fifteen years ago to marry each other if they were still single. He gives her a rose and asks her to marry him. Then, they laugh. Cassie talks with Donna and offers her a cup of hot chocolate. Joy walks in and tells her that she won’t take it unless it has marshmallows in it. Things get heated quickly between them, but then Cassie suggests Donna to tell her the truth and the woman freezes. Abi and Jason go for breakfast to the bistro and the woman feels badly to know that he is still hanging on a promise that she knows she can’t keep. Cassie arrives, greets them and observes their dynamic without saying a word.

Sam goes to talk to Grant and is surprised when the chief of administration introduces him to the new orthopedic surgeon Dr. Jacobson (Dylan Taylor). Sam asks to talk to him in private and then says that surgeons are his department, but Grant says that he won’t ask for his permission to hire someone. Sam says that he cares for the services their provide to their patients and knows that Dr. Jacobson is not a good fit, but his comments are dismissed by Grant. Joy shares with Kenny that her chocolates got her through tough times. Cassie gets there and invites him to taste one of the chocolate cupcakes. He gets immediately in love with them and asks for the recipe, but she tells him that her grandma asks them to never reveal their secret. He says he understands since his father used to keep his recipes under lock and key and he doesn’t know if he would be proud about what he has done with the family legacy. He leaves the place with a couple of cupcakes and Cassie is left alone with Joy who didn’t listen to her and made some “Truth Chocolates” without telling her. Cassie suggests her to talk to Donna instead of forcing her to tell the truth.

Cassie pays a visit to Abi and tells her to talk to Jason if she is not planning on keeping her promise. Adam confesses to Stephanie that he wants to go on a mission and invites her to join him, but she says that she has a lot in Middleton and doesn’t feel like leaving just like that. Sam is cleaning his truck when Cassie joins him. He confesses that Grant has stepped on his toes and now he doesn’t know what to do. Cassie says that sometimes they need to teach people to listen and hands him the ball that he has in the back of his truck.  Kenny finds himself alone in the kitchen and takes the opportunity to take a picture of the cupcake recipe, but for some reason he just can’t so he decides to rip the page and take it with him.

Right after Cassie walks in says that she feels she has been selfish so she has decided to share the recipe. Cassie doesn’t allow her to. Joy takes the truth chocolates from the fridge and Donna shows up and asks her if she can take some for the road. When she is about to take some Joy stops her from doing it and suggests her to take others. Donna decides to confess that she messed up and actually lied to their client.

Sam, Donovan and Adam go to bowling but since is League Night there aren’t any lines available. They decide to join Tuesday night trivia instead. Jason has dinner with Abi and he says how perfect he thinks they would be together. Back at the bowling alley the guys are doing very well but then the last question of the trivia comes and the quiz master (Sean Cullen) asks what bird is associated with the moon. Adam rushes to answer it is the owl which is incorrect. The right answer turns to be the dove which clicks something in Donovan. He realizes that the traveler’s property has a building where they used to keep birds and that the Connelly’s symbol was the crescent moon. He believes that since the dove is associated with the moon maybe it can be connected to the curse. Suddenly, they hear a lot of noise in the crowd and realize that Martha is there and doing very well at the tournament. She has made eleven strikes in a row and when is about to throw the final one the lights go out. Joy is at the phone arguing with someone. Donna laughs at her since she says that she had never seen her argue with anyone and they recall some of their good times. Joy asks her to give her the papers to check something and decides to tear them apart and offers her a job again.

Sam helps Donovan on his search and when it seems that everything is lost he notices a weathervane. Martha confesses to Cassie that she is afraid that she would miss at the bowling game so Cassie takes her and asks her to play without the pressure and the crowds. She manages to calm Martha down. Jason helps Abi to put everything together for the exhibition. He takes one of the truth chocolates and right at the moment Abi tells him that she doesn’t want to marry him. He confesses that he feels the same way and that he believes they could only be friends instead. Before the exhibition begins Kenny eats a truth chocolate without knowing. It makes him deliver such a beautiful and heartfelt speech. Sam tries to make Grant come to his senses but doesn’t succeed.

The next day Kenny is getting ready to leave but before he does he apologizes to Cassie and gives her back the page of the recipe he stole. She offers him to keep the recipe, but he says that he needs to save the business on his own and appreciates her help nonetheless. Joy shows Donna the house she is working on and tells her that she promised Martha that it would be ready in three weeks. Donna say that she’ll make sure it happens that way. Adam meets Stephanie at the bistro and the woman says that she will miss him a lot when he’s gone. Back at the Bowling League Martha manages to make a very dramatic but successful shot. Over at the Grey House Sam and Cassie are spending some time together when Donovan arrives saying that he has cracked the other half of the code that says “Hidden in plain sight.” However, he doesn’t know what that means.
