Later that day, Stephanie (Kylee Evans) shows up at Adam’s (Scott Cavalheiro) baseball game and she sees how he encourages a little boy that doesn’t seem to trust in his own abilities. Then, she watches him walk to the other side of the field and hugs a woman. She assumes she is his girlfriend and decides to walk away from there. However, before she leaves Adam manages to see her. Sam asks Reverend Brookman (Duff MacDonald) if he knows where The Forever Tree is located, but he doesn’t seem to know a thing. Suddenly, the reverend starts to sneezea nd Sam says he will prescribe him an antihistamine. Cassie, Sam, Nick (Rhys Matthew Bond), Grace (Bailee Madison) and George are ready for the rehearsal, but Vincent (Gianpaolo Venuta) is still nowhere to be found and the Reverend cannot stop sneezing. They decide to cancel the rehearsal and go straight to the barbecue. Once there Martha (Catherine Disher) attempts to give a speech about Sam and Cassie but gets emotional. One by one George, Abigail (Sarah Power) and Nick give a brief speech about the happy couple. At the end, Cassie and Sam also express how much they love them and how grateful they are for them.

Grace hears the withe horse neigh and runs towards him. She caresses him, but once again Lyndsay (Madison Cheeatow) interrupts them and the horse jumps the fence and gets lost in the woods.

At night Cassie meets with Grace in her room and the young girl confesses that she believes she is the reason all the bad things have happened recently in regards the wedding. She cannot stop thinking of her dad and missing him, but Cassie tries to calm her down and tells her that there is nothing negative in missing her father. She leaves to make some tea, but later when she comes back Grace is no longer there.

Cassie tells Sam that she found out that Vincent has cleared out his room and the man confesses that he heard him on the phone saying that he had lost the contract to sail Jonathan Gardiner’s boats. He promises that he will do what he can to track him down and convince him to come back.

At night Sam’s parents are getting ready to attend the fireflies event, but his dad doesn’t seem to be so convinced to do it. So, Sam’s mom decides to give up on her intentions of going there and lies saying that she has forgotten to steam her dress so she wants to stay instead and do it.

Nick and Lyndsay are at Stephanie’s bistro playing Destination. He decides to get coffee for them both and Stephanie gets curious about the young lady. She asks Nick about her and he ends up confessing that he had lied to her and now he doesn’t know how to tell her the truth about his college situation. Lyndsay overhears him and leaves the place in a haste.

Sam finally finds Vincent, who is on his own at the baseball field. They talk about the reason why he left and Vincent confesses that he wanted to prove himself to Cassie. Sam replies that the thing with her is that you don’t need to prove yourself at all. Adam pays a visit to Stephanie and he tells her that he saw her at the baseball game and questions him about the girl she saw him hugging. He says that it was one of the kid’s mom thanking him for helping him to play. Stephanie asks him to go out some time, but he says that he has a lot of things to deal at the moment.

Grace has gone to the special place where her father and her used to go. Cassie finds her there and they share stories of when she was young and says that she understands that she misses him. Grace tells her that she was pretty sure that her father would have wanted her to marry Sam.

Abigail pays a visit to Donovan (Marc Bendavid) at his office to discuss Martha’s situation. She finds him on the phone talking about an issue on his house. Abigail lets him know that she is aware of what is happening as she was the behind it. She mentions that just as the new borderline puts Martha’s house out of Middleton she found out that part of Donovan’s house waterline is actually in her town. So, she decided to shut it off.

Cassie and Sam’s dad are at her shop when the man finds a pile of guitar sheet music. He locates a song that he and his wife love that turned out to be their wedding song. When he turns around, he finds a guitar resting there and recalls how he used to play for his wife back in the day.

Grace is still fixing her mother’s dress when Nick walks in and is surprised to see her achievements. He also tells her that he just met Lyndsay and that the girl thinks he plays a lot of video games. Grace suggests that if he would just invest that time to plan on his future everything would be different and he replies that maybe video games are his future.

Sam is at Stephanie’s bistro still trying to figure out his way to The Forever Tree. She approaches him and sees the picture he is carrying. She tells him that when she was a child, she used to hide behind a pile of rocks that can be seen on the old photograph. So, she marks on his map the place where she remembers the tree used to be. Nick walks in and Sam asks him to go with him. While they are in the woods Nick confesses that he has found what he wants to do and it’s all about video games. Sam figures out that he wants to be a video game designer and expresses how proud he is that the young man has finally found his passion.

Cassie arrives at Stephanie’s bistro and tells her that she is not sure how the wedding is going to happen since the Reverend won’t stop sneezing. Stephanie suggests that maybe Adam can help with that. Martha walks into the bistro saying that it’s been hard for her to find a new path. Suddenly, a man named Theodore Carter (Jerry Levitan) that is passing by hears her and decides to offer her an opportunity to audition for a new talk show in town so the woman agrees.

Sam and Cassie arrive home and hear music playing in the distance. They keep walking until they see Sam’s dad playing the guitar while his mother walks down the stairs and sings. Sam asks Cassie if she had anything to do with it and she just nods.

Grace’s job with Cassie’s dress is finally done and when she decides to show it to her the woman is surprised by how beautiful it had turned out.

It’s finally wedding day and Abigail finds herself in the middle of the road with a flat tire. Suddenly, she sees Donovan coming on his motorcycle and decides to ask for his help. He ends up giving her a ride. Once they arrive to the ranch, he asks to return the favor by buying one of his reelection dinner tickets, but the woman says that a “thank you” should be enough.

Nick meets Lyndsay near the stables and updates her about his new career decision. The girl is happy to hear about it and kisses him on the lips. Grace sees it all and is happy that his honesty has earned him good things.

Cassie is about to leave the house along with George when Vincent shows up and offers to drive her to the wedding. She agrees, but before that they share a brief talk where Cassie assures him that he doesn’t have to run away anymore and that he’ll always have a family who loves him.

Sam and Grace are at the stables waiting for Cassie to arrive when they see the white horse in the distance. Grace tells Sam that they should follow the horse and when they do they realize they have been led to The Forever Tree.

Cassie and Vincent arrive at the ranch, but are surprised to see that nobody is there. Grace comes out of the place and tells her they have a surprise for her. The girl takes her mother to the new location and Cassie is amazed to see that they have found the ancient tree. After saying their vows, Cassie and Sam are finally married by Adam under the tree and looking truly happy. When the party is done Sam and Cassie are sitting next to each other under the tree looking back at how the day went. After they drink their champagne, they decide to carve their initials in the trunk of the tree just in the way the woman’s great-great-great-grandparents did. While doing so, the white horse shows up along with another one making Sam say that “he was just trying to find his mate” to which Cassie replies, “Isn’t everyone?”
