Q) How would you describe your sound?

A) My song definitely has some country roads to it, but the hope is that it’s more of a blend of southern rock and pop.

Q) Who are some of your musical influences?

A) I love Stevie Nicks, Dolly Parton, The Rolling Stones and Johnny Cash.

Q) Talk about the story behind your new song “Not If You Stay.” What do you think it is about the song that fans connect to?

A) I think everybody has a deep wound of abandonment or a fear of abandonment and I think when we really love or like someone the deepest fear is that they will leave at least that is how it is for me. I’m sure a lot of people can relate to the feeling of wanting someone just to stay with you forever even though that is never promised.

Q) How does the video for the track play into the message behind it?

A) The video for “Not If You Stay” is really just me sitting in my house thinking and pondering and being playful, which is very much me. I didn’t really want to have a complete story to it is more just me lost in my thoughts.

Q) What is your song writing process? Do you need music before you can create lyrics?

A) That’s a great question. Lyrics usually just come to me while I’m on the subway or in the car and then I work with my producer on a melody, but the lyrics usually are so overwhelming that I hear them in my head all day long. I can also listen to a melody and come up with lyrics pretty quickly. They just kind of drop in.

Q) What are the themes you explore on your new EP Pronoia?

A) The new EP Pronoia is a journey of a relationship where you’re not sure if they are going to stay and you have to except it either way but totally diving in with arms wide open to receive and give love.

Q) How did you decide to stick to three tracks for the EP rather than go big with 5-10 songs?

A) These are the first three songs I have a wrote and so they’re super special to me, which is why I called the EP Pronoia because it was really the beginning of my awakening of trusting that everything is happening in perfect timing.

Q) What do you hope listeners take away from listening to your new EP as a whole?

A) I hope listeners just begin to understand who I am and how my heart and brain work attached to that and of course the lyrics. If I can change or move one person’s mind or higher than I’ve done my job and that makes me very happy.

Q) Where are some of your favorite places to perform and what makes those locations so significant to you?

A) I love a good dive bar and of course I dream about the big stage so I’m trusting that whatever supposed to happen will.

Q) Who would you most like to collaborate with on a song in the future?

A) Funny enough, I would love to collaborate with Snoop Dogg I think it would be a blast.

Q) What album/band are you currently listening to and why do you dig them?

A) I listen to all kinds of music. Recently I have been inspired by old Johnny Cash songs and I still love Florence and the Machine.

Q) We love seeing you on our screens. Are there any upcoming TV or film projects you have been busy working on?

A) I have a film called 3 Days Rising coming out this year in 2022, so I’m really looking forward that.

Q) You are a part of social media. Why is that such an important way for you to connect with your fans?

A) It’s the new way and, to be honest, I’m not always great at it but if you can’t get on board and learn to love it and you’re missing out it’s a complete necessary tool now to success.

Q) What would you like to say to everyone who is a fan and supporter of you and your work?

A) I’ll be on grateful for any listener that resonates with my music because it’s the deepest part of my soul and I feel very seen when I have a fan or somebody that is digging my music and that is all that matters to me is super important. So, I’m very grateful even if I have one fan I’ve done my job.
