Q) How would you describe your sound?

A) I’d say my sound is always changing. I like exploring all my music influences from pop to rock to rap to alternative. As of right now, I am into creating ethereal, dream pop like music.

Q) Who are some of your musical influences?

A) Machine Gun Kelly, Kanye West, Halsey (but more 2015/2016 Halsey like Badlands and Hotel 93 long blue hair aesthetic) and Lil Peep for sure.

Q) Talk about the story behind your new song “Nobody.”

A) It’s about wanting someone who doesn’t want you back. Wishing they were someone to you but they aren’t.

Q) What do you think it is about the song that fans connect to?

A) I think it’s the fact that it’s so honest. We’ve all been there where we wanted to be something to someone so deeply and then are shattered by the fact that you’re nobody to them after all.

Q) What made you decide to give it a “chilled-out” mix?

A) I wanted to have it reflect the moment a bit while still letting it hit at certain moments. It was such a vulnerable experience; I wanted the music to feel the same.

Q) How does the video play into the message behind the song?

A) The video plays into the message of the song by showing me singing about my feelings and keeping things very simple. The video is showing me and how I would be singing to a friend about my emotions and feelings and keeping that raw aspect of the song so it can translate into video form.

Q) What is your song writing process? Do you need music before you can create lyrics?

A) Even when I’m not in the studio I’m always writing phrases, ideas and lyrics down. So, I’ll usually start by going through my notes and picking the concept that speaks to me most. After that it’s the melody and then the lyrics.

Q) How much of hand do you have in the production of your music?

A) I’m very hands on and involved with all the production. I think it’s really important to be a part of that process.

Q) Will there be a full album or EP coming in the near future?

A) Yes, an album!

Q) Who would you most like to collaborate with on a song in the future?

A) Illenium.

Q) What album/band are you currently listening to and why do you dig them?

A) The most recent album I listened to fully is Juice WRLD’s newest release, Legends Never Die. Juice WRLD was really making waves in the industry and his death was painful for a lot of people, including myself. Similar to one of my favorite late rappers, Lil Peep, Juice was unapologetically himself and that’s something I struggle with. My favorite song off the album is “Stay High.”

Q) You are a part of social media. Why is that such an important way for you to connect with your fans?

A) Yes, definitely but I have my favorites of course (hint hint: Instagram). I just want to always be vulnerable and honest with my fans and having a way to do that with social gives me a chance to show that side of me more often.

Q) What would you like to say to everyone who is a fan and supporter of you and your work?

A) YOU RULLLLLEEEEE!!! And it gets BETTER!! Even if you feel like the world is crashing around you…The world doesn’t stop – the sun will rise, the moon will continue to fall. Life goes on. <3
