Q) Please tell us the premise for the film Dognapped: Hound for the Holidays.

A) When celebrity designer Victoria Frost has to lay low after a scandal, her personal assistant Emily (Sara Ball) ends up providing sanctuary for her boss at her hometown for the holidays. Drama seems to follow Victoria wherever she goes as her dog gets mysteriously kidnapped. With the help of her assistant Emily and a charming local vet, all work together to get the dog back before Christmas. It’s romance, mystery, and a dog movie all rolled into one.

Q) How did you get involved in starring in the film?

A) I booked the role via a very traditional actor route: An audition. I originally read for a different role in the film, but I was asked to come on board and play the role of Victoria. I’m so glad it worked out that way because I had so much fun with the role.

Q) How was your character Victoria originally described to you?

A) Victoria was described as a selfish, high maintenance media personality who has always been the center of attention and plans to keep it that way.

Q) Were you familiar with any of your costars before working with them on this movie?

A) When I heard that Vivica A. Fox was attached to the project, I was so thrilled to get to work with her. She has had such an inspiring career and it was an honor to film together.

Q) They say never work with animals or kids. What was your experience like working with the puppies?

A) This was my first role working with an animal actor and I felt completely the opposite. Our star dog in the film “Falkor” who plays Tiny was such a seasoned pro. Unlike my character Victoria, I am such an animal lover and couldn’t soak up enough dog cuddles between takes.

Q) What were some of your favorite scenes to shoot?

A) I loved shooting the pivotal scene near the end of the film where Victoria takes charge during a plot twist. It’s a heavy monologue scene that was pretty outrageous and really fun to play out.

Q) You’re a part of social media. What kind of feedback have you been receiving to movie watchers?

A) The takeaway from this movie has been incredible. I’ve always known that people love holiday movies, but I never could have imagined the actual obsessive magnitude scale for the genre!  I don’t think I’ve ever had such an enthusiastic response from another project. Holiday movies bring such joy to people this time of year and it’s always been a dream of mine to get to work on one.

Q) What do you think it is about Dognapped: Hound for the Holidays that will make it a sweet family film to watch at the holidays?

A) It’s a holiday movie and a dog movie. Honestly, does anything get more feel good than that?!!

Q) What are the other projects that you have been busy working on?

A) I currently have another film that is currently in post-production. It is an indie film called Deadly Draw that features the late Ed Asner.

Q) What would you like to say to everyone who are fans and supporters of the work you do?

A) I’m always so grateful when I get to bring joy to the TV screen. I have such an amazing support network and I’m so thankful for every opportunity to get to play such fun characters.
