Q) How would you describe your sound?

A) I would describe my sound as a deep house/pop music

Q) Who are some of your musical influences?

A) Some of my favorite musical influences are Drake, Becky Hill, Calvin Harris, Dua Lipa, Doja Cat and many more.

Q) Talk about the story behind your new song “Vacation.”

A) The story behind “Vacation” was inspired by a trip that I took to the Bahamas. Seeing everybody living their best lives partying on the beach is what gave me the inspiration to write vacation. I actually wrote the song on the plane ride back home after having a great time in the Bahamas.

Q) What do you think it is about the song that makes it such a Summer anthem?

A) I think that “Vacation” is a summer anthem song not only by the lyrics but by the vibe of the beat. It’s bouncy, it’s fun, and I made it to help people escape their daily routines and dive into their imagination for a moment.

Q) How does the video for the track play into the message behind it?

A) The video for the song “Vacation” embodies a party vibe. There’s a lot of choreography going on a lot of dancing a lot of partying a lot of bright colors there’s a lot of imagination and there’s a lot of the creativity it’s bouncy it’s vibrant not only with the overall vision but just the overall seal of the song along with the video is such a good vibe.

Q) What is your song writing process? Do you need music before you can create lyrics?

A) My song writing process is referred to as “skeleton writing.” I usually write my songs before I go to the studio with no beat. By the time I get to my engineer I know certain instruments that I would like to have, and the beat and we build from there. I don’t really like to create beats that were premade. When I go to the studio and I record a song, I like for the whole song to embody the feeling that I was feeling at that moment and I feel like it’s important for me to make the beat in that moment so that I can capture everything that special about the song and the lyrics at the same time.

Q) How much of hand do you have in the production of your music?

A) When it comes to the production of my music, I have both hands in. I am the creator and operator of everything that you see. Since I am independent, I have the last say on what type of music I wanna make and what I want my videos to look like. I am the one covering the cost, doing the footwork, hiring the necessary people, handling the distribution and so much more. I am so thankful that the people I have paid for hire along the way have been some of the best and each year I always find more and more people who are in love with their craft as much as I am in love with mine and that helps contribute to bringing my vision to life in such a beautiful way.

Q) Will there be a full album or EP coming in the near future?

A) Yes, I will be dropping an album in the upcoming summer of 2023. I will also be announcing it at the beginning of the year. I’m super excited to share this with my fans.

Q) Where are some of your favorite places to perform and what makes those locations so significant to you?

A) When it comes to performing, I don’t have a favorite location because as long as I am in front of my fans, and I get to perform it’s a feeling that is out of this world so as of right now I’m just grateful that I get to perform in front of the people that support me no matter where that is.

Q) Who would you most like to collaborate with on a song in the future?

A) In the future I would like to collaborate with Drake and Dua Lipa.

Q) What album/band are you currently listening to and why do you dig them?

A) At the moment I’m currently listening to Doja Cat. I listen to a bunch of different genres each week so I’m always bouncing around. But this week I’m loving the vibes that Doja Cat is giving me, and I love all of her music videos. They are such a vibe. She sure knows how to keep us watching and looking for what’s next.

Q) You are a part of social media. Why is that such an important way for you to connect with your fans?

A) I believe that social media is such an important aspect as an artist. I distribute my music all around the world. That means my fanbase is scattered all around the world and there are so many places that I haven’t been able to touch yet as far as performing. No matter where I am in the world, no matter where my fans are, they can always know what’s coming next because of social media. Thankfully!

Q) What would you like to say to everyone who is a fan and supporter of you and your work?

A) The one thing that I would like to leave behind for my fans and my supporters is (never let the fear of facing your fear be greater than the fear itself) we are all significant. I believe that we are all creators and everything we do every day is a form of art. I love you all and thank you to everyone who has been with me along my journey.
