Q) How would you describe your sound?

A) I would say my sound is pop, but with a lot of sultry and ethereal elements. I am classically trained, so I like to include a lot of classical elements, but also have some jazzy vocals and electronic influence in my pop music.

Q) Who are some of your musical influences?

A) Some of my musical influences include Lady Gaga, Amy Winehouse, Miley Cyrus, Lana Del Rey and The Weeknd.

Q) Talk about the story behind your new song “Dream Tonight.”

A) I wrote “Dream Tonight” over an ex that I lost. I would frequently have nightmares stemming from my broken heart. I just poured my feelings out of what it felt like without him at the time and that yearning for better dreams.

Q) The song starts off with an epic electric guitar performance. How did you decide to include them as an intro?

A) I wanted an edgy vibe. Believe it or not, I was inspired by Linkin Park for this. I thought electric guitar would be the best.

Q) The next track is “Don’t Bring Me Down.” What do you think it is about the song that fans will connect to?

A) I think the fans will relate to not wanting anyone bringing them down; being able to break free from the toxicity in our lives to have fun and find happiness.

Q) What is your song writing process? Do you need music before you can create lyrics?

A) It really switches. Sometimes a melody comes to me first and I write the lyrics over it, but sometimes the lyrics really speak to me first.

Q) How much of hand do you have in the production of your music?

A) I worked with a producer who made all of the tracks, but I have a lot of say in what I want it to be and how it should sound. I am always involved in the creative process.

Q) What are some themes you explore on your debut album Unbreakable?

A) I explore themes of personal experience: going through depression and anxiety, past love and heartache of what didn’t work out, overcoming obstacles and moving forward. Coming out stronger on the other side of it all is really the theme of Unbreakable.

Q) What tracks on the album hold a special place in your heart and what makes them so significant to you?

A) I would say “Numb to It All” and “Wake Up” are very significant to me because they describe a lot of the feelings and depression I went through. But I also love “Unbreakable” because it shows we can get through it and persevere.

Q) What songs are you most looking forward to performing live and why?

A) I love singing “Numb to It All” because I get to display the high ethereal classical vocals.

Q) In what ways was creating Unbreakable cathartic for you since it references a time of nightmares and anxiety for you?

A) Because it took a while for me to get back to a place of happiness and creativity. I can look back on the sad songs of how I felt at the time of writing it and see how far I have come.

Q) Will there be a US or international tour coming soon to promote the album?

A) Yes, that is the plan!

Q) Who would you most like to collaborate with on a song in the future?

A) I really want to collaborate with The Weeknd.

Q) You are a part of social media. Why is that such an important way for you to connect with your fans?

A) Being able to connect with my fans on social media is a gift. I am able to talk to them directly and share my art. They can listen to my songs, watch the creative music and lyric videos, and let me know what they think. I enjoy sharing updates about what’s going on in my life and the events I may be performing at or attending.

Q) What would you like to say to everyone who is a fan and supporter of you and your work?

A) Most importantly: thank you! It means the world to me that you support me and enjoy my music and message. I want to continue to scream “thank you so much!” for allowing me to live this dream.
