Q) How would you describe your sound?

A) I would say we sound like a modern rock band rooted in the classics with positive energy-driven lyrics that feel nostalgic yet fresh, exciting and addictive. But mostly id say we sound like MESSER. [laughs]

Q) Who are some of your musical influences?

A) SW have wide and eclectic variety of musical influences that range from Alice In Chains, Toto, Boston, The Doors, Sting to Genesis.

Q) Talk about the story behind your new song “Hope in This World.”

A) The song was born out of the pandemic. We feel that Hope is one of the most powerful things you can give someone is hope.

We live in a world more divided than ever, making it hard to see a way for us to find a place of peace and harmony.

“Hope In This World” is a song about bridging the gap between us that seems to be growing every day. The core message of this song is helping people find hope despite the negativity. It’s easy to get trapped in boxes of belief and confusion. This song is about the lifeline we cling to for change, the light at the end of the tunnel.

Q) What do you think it is about the song that fans connect to?

A) I would say it would have to be the overall message of this song. It seems to resonate on a very personal level. Everyone went through their own version of struggle during the pandemic and hope was one of the few things we all could see eye to eye on during a very clouded time.

Q) How does the video for the track play into the message behind it?

A) The video shows different walks of life dealing with their own struggles, whether it be internal struggles such as self-image, addiction, PTSD, all the way down to external pressures that a frontline worker has to deal with during a pandemic. This song is a call to action. We’re asking you to help US find some hope in this world.

Q) What is your song writing process? Do you need music before you can create lyrics?

A) It’s honestly whichever comes first. It’s either a riff or a phrase that inspires the result that you hear.

Q) How much of hand do you have in the production of your music?

A) It’s a team effort! We are very involved with the process and work side by side with our awesome producer/co-writer Chad Gendason to bring these ideas to life for you!

Q) Will there be a full album or EP coming in the near future?

A) We will probably stick to just dropping singles for right now! But you never know! We might package our singles as albums once they equate enough material!

Q) You are currently out on tour. What can fans expect from a live MESSER performance?

A) High energy! Passion! And a lot of fun! We aim to make each show a life changing experience for each and every person there!

Q) Where are some of your favorite places to perform and what makes those locations so significant to you?

A) Twin Falls, Idaho! It’s always a blast playing there. They show us so much love and the participation it’s just unreal! Anywhere in Florida. And really just anywhere people appreciate rock music.

Q) Who would you most like to collaborate with on a song in the future?

A) Pop Evil would be awesome. We also thought it would be cool to do a duet with Lacey Sturm.

Q) You are a part of social media. Why is that such an important way for you to connect with your fans?

A) We actually love social media just because without having to leave the house we can connect with all our people, which is actually why we released our own “MESSER” app. Go download it in the google play/apple store and catch all the behind-the-scenes stuff you won’t find on the regular outlets! https://messer.fan.direct

Q) What would you like to say to everyone who is a fan and supporter of you and your work?

A) Thank you for your continued support. The past few years have been very unclear for us, and it is really YOU that has kept us going! We’re so blessed to have an audience that supports our art.
