Q) Your music is simply incredible, your newest single which is out now is called “Madly.” Tell us a little about the song and how it came to be.

A) This record is super personal and one of my best songs written. It’s a romantic mid-tempo ballad that talks about heartbreak but still carries so much power and strength.

Q) “Madly” follows the huge success of “Young Queen” which pays homage to your roots and history. When you think back on the writing process, did you find Madly harder to write than Young Queen or any of your other songs?

A) They were equally hard to write because I am a perfectionist. [laughs] But to me the end result is what matters most! I’m very proud of them both because they both came from my heart.

Q) “Madly” is such an anthem for self-love, do you often have a theme for your songs, or do they happen organically?

A) They really happen organically. I never pretend to go through something I don’t go through. Each song is a page of my diary. And whatever I’ve written I’ve truthfully experienced and I put that honesty in my music because I believe that’s the best way to capture magic.

Q) The music video for “Madly” is stunning and completely fit with the song perfectly. What was the creation process of the video like for you?

A) Thank you! I take so much pride in my videos as well since I direct them, and I always have a vision for how I want them to look. I wanted this to be a love letter to anyone who’s experienced heartbreak and make it super pink and romantic.

Q) You’ve definitely left us wanting more after hearing Madly, are there any more amazing songs you’ve got planned for us?

A) Yes, I have so many records that I can’t wait to release!

Q) In a time like now, why do you feel it’s important to have more songs about self-love and empowerment?

A)  I was raised by a true queen who always taught me that so it’s natural for me to put that in my music.

Q) You’ve co-written a lot of songs, one being “Kings & Queens” with Ava Max, which hit the Billboard by storm. What goes through your mind when you learn the songs you’ve written have become so popular to the point of it reaching so high on music charts?

A) It makes me happy because it’s years of hard work being rewarded.

Q) What would be your piece of advice for any aspiring artists out there?

A) Always be honest and follow your gut.

Q) Since the world is slowly starting to open up again, do you have any live performances lined up?

A) I don’t. I am pregnant and I’m about to give birth any sec, so I’ll enjoy balancing both in the next few months! [smiles]

Q) What would you like to say to everyone who are fans and supporters of you and the music you make?

A) I just want to thank everyone who supports my music. Means everything to me.
