Q) What are the recent projects that you are working on?

A) As of right now, no other projects. We film “Young Sheldon” for about nine months of the year so it doesn’t leave a lot of time to do other things. Maybe after we wrap season 2 I’ll be available!

Q) What can we look forward to in Season 2 of “Young Sheldon?”

A) More Cooper shenanigans!! [laughs] We actually just wrapped our first holiday episode for Halloween. I got to wear a ton of makeup and a huge wig! It was so fun to be trick or treating in September!

Q) In what ways do you feel you are most like Missy and not like Missy?

A) I’m like Missy in several ways actually. I think we are both very curious and we can be mischievous! We both like adventure. I’m definitely more respectful than Missy. If I talked to my parents the way Missy does, I’d be grounded!

Q) When given the opportunity to play Sheldon’s sister Missy, how did you see her and what was your approach to playing the character?

A) Missy was described to me as a sassy little girl, someone that doesn’t care what people think. Oh, and a dry sense of humor!

Q) How do you feel your real-life friendship with co-star Iain Armitage helps you create the dynamic between Missy and Sheldon?

A) We’ve been playing brother and sister for over a year and a half now so we have such a great bond. And because we are together so much, we even act like real brother and sister sometimes.

Q) If you could choose a storyline for Missy Cooper to have in the future, what type of storyline would you choose and why?

A) I actually pitched a story to our producers last season where Missy is in a pageant. I hope they use it!

Q) What has been your favorite Missy and Sheldon moment?

A) The scene that aired in the season premiere where Missy hugs Sheldon! It was such a sweet moment

Q) Are there any upcoming guest stars you can tease from Season 2 of “Young Sheldon?”

A) My best friend McKenna Grace will be on this season! Mr. Wallace Shawn is back and Mr. Jason Alexander is also back!

Q) Talk about working with costar and TV mom Zoe Perry.

A) Ms. Zoe is the best lady in the whole wide world! She gives me great advice when we are filming our scenes. She is fun to hang out with, too! Sometimes we will have pool parties at her mom’s house!

Q) What motivated you to pursue acting?

A) I’ve always loved to entertain people. I’ve been putting on shows and concerts for my friends and family since I was little.

Q) Given the opportunity, which actor would you love to work with?

A) I’d love to work with Lin Manuel Miranda! He is so talented!! I think I could learn so much from him. I’d also like to work with Robert Downey, Jr. because I love Iron Man!!

Q) When you’re not working on “Young Sheldon,” are there any shows you love to watch?

A) I love to watch animal documentaries and Wild Kratz on PBS!

Q) In an interview back in February you mentioned that you love writing and were in the process of writing a book. Can you tell us a little bit about what the book is about?

A) The book actually started as a school assignment. I was supposed to write a paper on personification. We’d been studying the Gold Rush and I love rocks, so the paper turned into a story about a gold nugget who lives in a city (for us it would be as small as a kiddy park) in a peaceful neighborhood. Then, all of a sudden, everything changes. A human comes and captures her best friend’s mother. Then, a month later they (Goldie and her best friend Pyrite) get captured. The story focuses on them trying to get home. I hope to make it a series.

Q) You are a part of social media. Do you enjoy the instant fan feedback you receive to episodes?

A) I’m actually not on social media! Since I’m only ten years old my mom runs my social media.

Q) Is there any advice you would give to those looking to pursue a career in acting at a young age?

A) You are going to hear a lot of no’s! But stay strong. There is always going to be something perfect just for you. You just have to be patient.

Q) What would you like to say to everyone who is a fan and supporter of you and the show?

A) Thank you so much for the support! You guys are the ones that have helped to make it as successful as it’s been! I love entertaining you!!
