The episode opens with Sheldon (Jim Parsons) and Amy (Mayim Bialik) waiting to hear if they won the Nobel Peace Prize. Leonard (Johnny Galecki) and Penny (Kaley Cuoco) are there for moral support, but they are all trying to stay awake. Sheldon is singing, annoying Penny. They decide to make coffee, but Sheldon opts to stay awake by using the endorphins in his brain.

However, Sheldon falls asleep and Leonard reminds them that they are allowed to slap him awake.  They all want to slap him, but Leonard says this is his time because Amy will have her whole life to do it.

The phone rings, waking up Sheldon. it is an unknown number, so he thinks it is the committee. They put the phone on speaker, but it is actually Kripke (John Ross Bowie) playing a trick on them saying they won the prize for suckers. Then, Howard (Simon Helberg) and Bernadette (Melissa Rauch) call to see if there is news and if anyone slapped Sheldon. Everyone promises to call when there is news.

Amy gets the call and they won! Everyone is excited, but in shock. Sheldon wonders if he is dreaming, causing Leonard to slap him and everyone to cheer over the win. Sheldon and Amy head out and discuss being married to Nobel Prize winners. Sheldon’s family texts him while Amy gets texts from her dad and CVS. Sheldon is offended her dad didn’t text him, but then he gets one and it’s all okay. They discuss how their lives change when they head outside and into a press conference. Sheldon gets overwhelmed and runs away, leaving Amy to handle it on her own.

At lunch President Siebert (Joshua Malina) tells Howard, Raj (Kunal Nayyar) and Leonard to call Amy and Sheldon “quirky” when the press reaches out to them. Amy and Sheldon go into the cafeteria to applause, causing Sheldon to run away.

A reporter is knocking on Sheldon’s door when Howard comes by asking him what he wants. The reporter has an interview with him, but Sheldon won’t answer the door and is hiding under his desk. Howard tries to get him to come out with no avail. Howard then pretends to be Sheldon’s best friend and gives an interview, conveniently mentioning he is an astronaut.

Amy is in the bathroom crying when Raj comes in to see if she is okay. She is unhappy with how she looks in pictures and feels shallow about it. Raj tells her she is beautiful, but says she should get a makeover if she is unhappy. He suggests she use her prize money and they go to Beverly Hills for a makeover.

Bernadette is reading the article about Sheldon and wonders why it is about Howard. He tells her about pretending to be his best friend and suggests Bernie pretend to be Amy’s best friend.

Sheldon is looking for a tea that helps him feel better about all the changes in his life. Leonard suggests Earl Grey and tries to calm him down. However, there is no Earl Grey, causing Sheldon to call him a filthy liar.

Raj comes in to show off the new Amy…who got new clothes, makeup and a haircut. Leonard says she looks amazing and Sheldon freaks out because something else is different. He runs away and Leonard blames himself for not having Earl Grey tea. He tells Sheldon he was rude and Sheldon says it is because there are so many changes.

He doesn’t know how much more he can take when Penny comes in on the fixed elevator. He runs away down the stairs only to be met by Penny, who took the elevator down. He wants to be alone, but ends up getting a ride from Penny.

Amy feels guilty and wonders if she should have done the makeover gradually. Leonard says a lot of dreams came true today and Amy says she needs to focus on that instead of Sheldon. Raj says it got fierce in there.

Sheldon is telling Penny about all the changes in her life, causing her to drink every time he says change. She says he may want things to stay the same, but he changed by getting friends, getting married and having sex. However, he is still picky about his drinks, which makes Penny to quip that there is probably spit in it. He says that she changed too and she agrees things are always changing, which is the only constant. They see Howard and Bernadette on TV and decide to drink…Sheldon even gets a drink with vodka.

Raj, Amy and Leonard decide they are done enabling Sheldon. Leonard keeps the temperature where Sheldon wants it even though he doesn’t live there and has his molecular model on display. He tries to move it, but it falls apart.

Penny and Sheldon come home and decide to use the elevator. He thinks it is a return to status quo since he used it when he moved in.
