Sutton Brady (Meghann Fahy) finishes packing her stuff and Jane Sloan (Katie Stevens) assures her that the apartment will still be her home as well. Jane spots a vibrator in one of the boxes and believes it is hers. She realizes hers is missing and they figure out that they swapped vibrators. They throw it back and forth to get rid of it, but it falls on the floor and starts vibrating as a mover walks into the apartment. Sutton hands her boxes to the mover (James Warren Raynard) before throwing the vibrator back to Jane.

Sutton moves the boxes into Richard Hunter’s (Sam Page) apartment and he tells her that his housekeeper can do her dirty laundry. She tells him that his housekeeper doesn’t work for her, but he tells her she’s her housekeeper as well now that she lives there. Sutton is excited about living there but insists on doing her own laundry.

Ryan Decker (Dan Jeannotte) steps out of the bedroom modeling his hockey uniform for Jane. He sees a paper bag and is excited that she made him a snack. However, he opens it to see Jane’s prescription to help with her egg freezing procedure. She tells him about the doctor’s instructions leading up to the procedure, and Ryan offers his help. Jane insists she doesn’t need his help and tells him to go to his hockey game. Once Ryan is gone, Jane texts Kat Edison (Aisha Dee).

Kat provides the injection and Jane is surprised at how easy it is. Jane sets a notification for the same time over the next ten days, and Kat asks why she doesn’t get Ryan to do it. Jane admits she doesn’t want to muck their fun relationship with tough stuff, but Kat suggests it might bring them closer together. Jane asks Kat if she pooped in front of Adena, and Kat admits she went to a nearby store. Jane argues that the injections are the same thing and Ryan doesn’t need to see it.

Patrick Duchand (Peter Vack) approaches Kat and compliments the trend she’s started with her #BeReal campaign. He shows her the tweets and Kat sees one that announces that her favorite lesbian bar is going to close. Oliver Grayson (Stephen Conrad Moore) gives Sutton instructions for the upcoming prom-themed photoshoot, telling her he won’t be there. Jane approaches Patrick, telling him she intends to write an article on the egg-freezing process.

Patrick asks what her angle is, telling her that she needs to plus it up for the website. Jane is not thrilled, but Patrick tells her the article needs a fresh perspective. Jacqueline Carlyle (Melora Hardin) tells Patrick to hold off on recruiting Cardi B for a website article, as she’s trying to convince her to do a feature for the print magazine. She tells him that it’s important for print and digital to work together, but Patrick declares that he needs to up his game if they’re fighting for the same talent.

Jane rants about Patrick as she, Kat, and Sutton go to the lesbian bar. Sutton asks if it’s weird that she wants to do her own laundry and the others reply that it is. Jane comments that the bar seems crowded, but Mary (Chala Hunter) explains that the city claims they owe $42,000 in previously unknown debts in an attempt to clear the area to build a condo. Kat tells Jane and Sutton that the bar means a lot to her, explaining that this is one of only two lesbian bars in the city. She texts a lawyer as Sutton gets a text that she’s needed at the shoot.

Sutton asks why they haven’t started yet and the photographer (Stephen Voyce) explains that the makeup artist, Nick Chassen (Thomas Wilkinson Fullerton) hooked up with the boyfriend of the model, Dierdre (Mashal Nazari). The photographer questions why Oliver would hire Nick for the shoot knowing that and Sutton is unable to stop Nick and Dierdre from storming off. Sutton asks the photographer for time to fix the situation, but he tells her he’s charging for the extra time.

Jane finds Patrick and Ryan talking and Ryan explains that he had a meeting with his editor. She asks if they know each other, and Patrick admits they just met. Jane suggests that they all get back to work and Ryan argues he’s working. Patrick suggests they write about Jane’s egg-freezing process together. Ryan likes the idea while Jane wishes that this wasn’t happening. Patrick tells her it’s happening and that he’s looking forward to it.

Ryan asks Jane how she wants to approach the article, suggesting that she give him all of the details of her pre-procedure prep and the dates of her doctor’s appointments. She suggests that they each write half of the article from their perspective and that he can focus on the fact that they can’t have sex for ten days. Ryan tells her that the angle doesn’t interest him and suggests that the whole thing could be a good bonding experience. She brushes his suggestion off, but Ryan tells her she has to keep him in the loop.

Jacqueline and Richard ask Sutton about the photoshoot issues, questioning why Oliver didn’t step in. Sutton tells them she tried to handle it herself and promises that she and Oliver are working to fix it. Jacqueline tells her she needs the shoot completed by tomorrow and Sutton tells Richard that it’s going to be a late night. Sutton tries to talk to Oliver about the shoot, but he brushes her off and tells her he’s heading out. She asks where he’s going, and Oliver snaps at her before telling her to send him the photos when they’re done.

Kat meets with Councilman Lawrence Reynolds (Matthew Kabwe), who tells her he wants to ensure the area remains inclusive. However, Reynolds admits he doesn’t know if he can help and that the only way the bar can be saved is to pay off the debts. In the fashion closet, Kat questions how they’re going to get the money while Jane reports that her doctor’s appointment went well.

Kat asks if Ryan went with her, but Jane insists that she doesn’t want him involved. Sutton tells them that Oliver has been absent and miserable, mentioning that she initially thought it was because he hated his prom as a gay man. Kat gets the inspiration to hold a queer prom fundraiser at the bar and Sutton agrees it’s a great idea.

Sutton has difficulty finding an outfit for work, telling Richard that she’s taking over the shoot. He questions the decision, but she assures him she’ll handle it. Sutton asks Richard to come to the prom fundraiser with her and he is excited about getting to be her prom date. She realizes that she doesn’t have underwear but insists she’ll do her laundry later. As Sutton rides the escalator, Kat notices her skirt is see-through. She shields Sutton’s skirt from view and encourages her to get underwear from the closet.

Kat tells Patrick about her fundraiser and asks if she can promote it from Scarlet’s account. He is hesitant but Kat convinces him if would be a good opportunity. Patrick invites Jacqueline to the prom and suggests that he get Sasha Velour (herself) to attend. Jacqueline tells him she’s familiar with Sasha, but Patrick rejects her offer of help.

Sutton looks for a document for the photographer but instead finds court documents on Oliver’s desk. She tells Kat and Jane about it and admits that she doesn’t feel comfortable talking to Richard about it as Richard is Oliver’s boss. Jane points out that’s always been the case, but Sutton admits it’s different now that they live together.

Ryan knocks on the closet, asking Jane to talk. He asks her about going to her doctor’s appointment without him, reminding her they’re writing the article together. She admits she’s hiding this from him, explaining that she doesn’t want to complicate their relationship. Ryan reminds her that they’re dating, but she tells him she doesn’t want him to be involved. He tells her that her attempts to uncomplicate things aren’t working.

Kat welcomes Sutton and Richard to prom, telling them that Patrick couldn’t get Sasha to appear and showing them the vagina shaped donation tracker. Richard puts in his donation and Jane admits that she’s not having a great prom. Richard suggests they dance and takes Jane and Sutton to the dancefloor. As Sutton and Richard take prom photos, Sutton gets a message asking for the approved photos. She tells Richard she has to deal with it but refuses to tell him what’s going on.

Patrick tells Jane that he didn’t go to prom while Jane admits that she planned her whole prom experience but that it was miserable. Jane confesses that she messed up things with Ryan and Patrick is shocked when Sasha walks through the door with Jacqueline. He asks if Jacqueline is really friends with Sasha, and Jane replies she’s friends with everyone.

Jane says goodbye to Kat, telling her she has to do her injection and complimenting her work. Kat admits it’s good to channel her focus into something and is surprised to see that Reynolds has arrived. Sutton goes to Oliver’s apartment, telling him they need to talk. She sees Oliver embrace a little girl, Carly (Kiara Groulx), and say goodbye to her..

Oliver compliments Sutton on the photoshoot and explains that Carly is the daughter of an ex who died. He explains that he’s applying for legal guardianship to prevent Carly from going to a group home, and Sutton tells him she approves. Patrick approaches Jacqueline and Sasha and tells Sasha he’s a huge fan. He asks how they know each other, and Jacqueline explains they met before Sasha became famous and that Sasha babysat her kids. Sasha offers to be a part of his column, and Patrick admits he feels stupid underestimating Jacqueline.

Jane finds Ryan waiting on her doorstep and asks what he’s doing there. He tells her it’s time for her injection and tells her he wanted to be there. Jane admits that she’s never felt this way about anyone, and she didn’t want to ruin that. They embrace and Ryan’s reminder for Jane’s injection goes off. He tells her that it’s the first of two reminders and promises he’s there for her.

Kat is disappointed that they only raised $20,000, but Patrick tells her she still accomplished a lot. She declares they’re not done yet and asks Reynolds of the money could be a down payment until they come up with the rest of the money. Reynolds tells her it doesn’t work like that, but Kat argues people need the bar. He tells her the condo will include open space and she calls him out for being there solely for a photo opportunity. Reynolds tells Kat that he thinks the condo will be a neighborhood improvement.

Sutton finds that Richard has done her laundry, and he tells her he understands that moving in is a big adjustment for her. She is shocked and he tells her he did a lot of laundry at boarding school. Sutton apologizes for not being open with him and admits that things are different now that they’re living together. He tells her that in the apartment he’s just her boyfriend, and Sutton tells her about her day. Jane and Ryan write their article together as Kat looks up who is running against Reynolds in the upcoming election. Ryan gives Jane her injection and she pretends it’s more painful than it is to mess with him before they kiss.
