The episode starts with the introduction of the new version of Frost (Danielle Panabaker) – now known as “Snow.” She is very similar to both Caitlin and Killer Frost, but at the same time she’s like a little child who needs guidance to learn about things.

Mark (Jon Cor) takes the role as guide to the new version of Caitlin, but his motives aren’t very noble. In fact, he wants to get back Frost no matter the cost, and in doing so he also needs to trick Team Flash into helping him.

So, Mark and Frost go to the team, and they explain to them their plan. He shares that after Barry (Grant Gustin) destroyed things, he and Caitlin had continued working together, and the result of their work is now Snow. He needs them to provide a stable source of energy in order to reverse what he has done, and in doing so he will bring Caitlin back. But that’s not the truth. In fact, he will bring only Frost back – something he doesn’t share with them.

The team doesn’t realize the danger of following this plan, so they agree to it without too many questions. Afterwards they go see the machine that is responsible for creating Snow. This machine was also used to restore Caitlin and Frost lives’, but it’s now obvious that something must have gone wrong in the process.

In the meantime, Chester (Brandon McKnight) tries to talk to Allegra (Kayla Compton) about their kiss, but she always manages to postpone the conversation. Meanwhile, Joe (Jesse L. Martin) and Cecile (Danielle Nicolet) are trying to process the loss of Caitlin.  Joe is also thinking about moving the family away from Central City, but Cecile is struggling with thought. Barry is also pondering about how his last encounter with Caitlin went, so he really wants the plan to work.

When they arrive to the STAR Labs, they realize what was wrong with the machine and so they work together to fix it. After that, they prepare themselves to begin using it. However, when they start it, something goes wrong, and Snow barely escapes alive. This has happened because Mark has miscalculated some numbers and the result is almost a big accident. Chester then realizes that their mistake is to try and bring both Caitlin and Frost back as this isn’t possible.

Back at Hartley Rathaway’s Krakatoa Club, Hartley (Andy Mientus) is about to leave but he’s attacked by a new Fiddler (Magda Apanowicz) in the parking lot. He fights with her and manages to get away, but she is able to cause him some serious damage before he can escape. Then, he goes to the Star Labs to seek help. He also tells the Team that this new Fiddler isn’t the one they already know. Afterwards, we see this new Fiddler going to see the mysterious figure who goes by the name Red Death. Red Death informs the Fiddler that failing again isn’t an option and if she does that she will die.

After the incident at the Star Labs, Barry has a talk with Mark. The team needs to decide who between Caitlin and Frost will they bring back. After a vote, the team has yet to decide what to do, so they leave the decision to Barry. Although, instead of choosing one of the options himself, he decides that it’s really Snow’s decision to make since is her life who will be taken in order to bring back one of their friends.

At the end we see Snow choosing herself instead of either Caitlin or Frost. She also informs them that her name is “Khione,” the name that Thomas Snow gave her. After this, the Fiddler attacks Hartley at the club once more and she hurts his partner (Joel Semande). But this time the team arrives to help them. Unfortunately, the Fiddler escapes once more. This encounter leaves the team questioning what the Fiddler and Boomerang (Richard Harmon) are planning to do. Before the episode ends we see Red Death saying that Central City will pay for what The Flash has done.
