The Fosters – Turks and Caicos

The whole family is frantically finishing up last-minute packing for Turks and Caicos. Jesus (Noah Centineo) refuses to help Mariana (Cierra Ramirez) carry her luggage, still upset that she’s stealing Wyatt (Alex Saxon) away for the summer and delaying his business venture even though they don’t have any clients yet. Mariana suggests he consider going to India, but Jesus is determined to focus on himself and his own wants now.

Brandon (David Lambert) asks Callie (Maia Mitchell) to look over the prenup, but Callie tells him he should have a print expert look at it. Though Brandon is adamant Eliza (Abigail Cowen) had nothing to do with it, Callie is suspicious that her dad would suddenly spring this on him days before the wedding.

Corey’s social worker swings by to tell Stef and Lena that the judge has granted Corey’s (Dallas Younger) mother supervised visits since she has completed the parenting courses and rehab. However, his mother got scared when she heard Stef (Teri Polo) and Lena (Sherri Saum) were taking him out of the country and the judge rescinded their permission to do so. Instead, they’re arranging for Corey to stay with another family while they’re gone.

Stef video chats with Corey as they walk into their resort, and although he’s perfectly happy and safe with the other family, Stef feels guilty and promises to take him on a trip once he’s adopted. Lena tells her to be careful making promises she might not be able to keep. Brandon is second guessing the destination wedding, as his grandparents can’t fly to the ceremony because of various engagements and health problems, but Stef tells him to enjoy it.

Eliza introduces everyone to her bridesmaids Ashley (LaToya Tonodeo) and Jayden (Morgan Lindholm), and Jayden immediately starts checking out Jesus. Ashley tells them they’re going to have a bachelorette party that evening, and although Brandon doesn’t want a bachelor party, Jesus insists. Ashley and Jayden ask Mariana about Jesus and Mat (Jordan Rodrigues). Mariana lies and tells Jayden that Jesus is gay and discloses to Ashley that Mat gave her crabs.

Eliza tells Stef and Lena that her parents are hosting a welcome lunch, and Stef gets nervous they’re going to take the reins from them at the rehearsal dinner that night. Lena tells Stef to try and behave herself.

Eliza asks Brandon why he has brought his keyboard with him, and he tells her he’s writing a song for a short film that has to be finished in a few short weeks. She’s annoyed he’ll be working over their wedding and honeymoon, but he promises he’ll just work at night and focus all his attention on her.

Diane (Susan Walters) and Jim (Robert Gant) ask Stef and Lena prying, somewhat rude questions about their adoptive children’s birth parents as well as what it’s like having Mike (Danny Nucci) married to Ana (Alexandra Barreto). When Stef excuses herself to go get food, they judge Stef’s large back tattoo.

Mariana is irritated when she sees Mat getting cozy with Ashley but encourages Callie to flirt with Jamie (Beau Mirchoff). Callie tells Jamie the more conservative judge has offered her the courtship but she’s holding out for the other one. Jamie congratulates her anyway.

Callie confronts Jude (Hayden Byerly) about the HIV preventatives he’s taking, asking him if he’s having safe sex. Jude feels like Callie is judging him, saying that the CDC recommends HIV medication for all gay men and that he’s being responsible. Jude blames Callie not hooking up with anyone for five years for her sudden judgmental attitude, bitter that the two of them barely talk anymore.

Eliza is stressed out about the prenup and the fact Brandon told Callie about it. Brandon tells her to relax and enjoy herself. He promises if Callie doesn’t hear back from her friend about it by that night, he’ll sign it anyway. He pressures Callie to get the final word from Aaron (Elliot Fletcher), and she promises to text him. Jamie sees a big water bicycle and asks Callie to take it for a spin with him.

Jesus blocks Mariana from tanning, asking her if he told Jayden he was gay. Jayden figures out this isn’t true and invites Jesus to play in the ocean with her. While everyone else is having a good time, Brandon is watching the short film he’s going to work on and tells Eliza it’s getting a lot of buzz. She tells him there will be other buzzy videos, but they won’t have another wedding. She reminds him he’s not even getting paid for the job.

Mat asks Mariana if they’re still going to sing something Brandon wrote that night. They argue about the reasons they broke up again, but Mariana finally agrees to follow their plan for Brandon’s sake.

Jamie flirts with Callie some more, but she assures him she’s not looking to hook up. Jamie backs off but tells Callie he wouldn’t mind being friends, and Callie happily agrees. She teasingly promises to try and be nice to him.

At dinner, Stef and Lena show embarrassing baby pictures of Brandon and Eliza. They lovingly tell Eliza that she entered Brandon’s life after a dark period and lit him up. Jim and Diane see Jude talking to Carter (Spencer List) and don’t approve since Jude is gay. Jesus video chats Corey in so he can see the slideshow, and Emma (Amanda Leighton) texts Mariana, saying she misses Jesus.

Diane and Jim promise to keep their speech brief. They tell Brandon he’s an upstanding young man and gives him the keys to their very own condo on the beach. They also arranged for a little rehearsal dinner entertainment—an entire band.

Eliza assures Callie the prenup wasn’t her idea and that it’s not a big deal, but Callie asks Eliza if she’s ever thought about how it must make Brandon feel. She says she’s happy to tell her parents to back off but Brandon doesn’t want her to. Callie says she’s just trying to protect her brother, and Eliza insinuates she knows they were more than just siblings in the past. Jamie tells Callie to tell Brandon not to sign the prenup. Knowing his dad, it’s probably not entirely fair to Brandon.

Stef and Lena see Jude getting a beer from the bar, but he defends himself, saying the drinking age there is 18. They’re about to talk to him more, but Brandon interrupts, thanking them for the slideshow. Stef and Lena urge him to figure out if there are any strings attached when it comes to the condo.

Mariana and Mat sing “Love Will Light the Day,” and it reminds Brandon of Callie and the time they sung it together. He can’t take his eyes off of her through their entire performance, and Callie can’t stop peering over at him either. Eliza notices this and get annoyed.

That night at the bachelorette party, Eliza and her bridesmaids share their own jokes while Mariana wonders if she and Mat are meant to be after all. Callie tells her everyone gets nostalgic at weddings and that she shouldn’t do something she’s going to regret. Mariana feels tension between Callie and Eliza and wonders what’s going on.

Callie tells Eliza that her friend said Brandon shouldn’t sign the prenup, and she thinks she should tell him herself. Eliza replies that maybe Callie should be the one to tell him since he was her first love. She questions if she still has feelings for him.

The bachelor party takes place at an arcade, and Carter expresses how annoyed he is that everyone there is underage. When Jude questions him about his girlfriend, he tells them they’re not exclusive. Jude tells Carter that he and Noah (Kalama Epstein) broke up recently but amicably. Carter baits Brandon, telling him that Eliza is accustomed to a certain kind of lifestyle and that he can always work for his dad as a backup option.

Stef tells Diane and Jim that people want Lena to run for State Assembly, but she’s still not sure she wants to do it. They’d have to sell their house and move because it would be in a different district. Jim assumes Lena is running for a democratic seat, and they confirm that while asking for their support.

Jamie asks Callie to dance, getting her another drink. Jude asks Callie if she told the moms about him being of medication, but Callie promises she didn’t—it’s just obvious he’s not okay. She apologizes for law school taking over her life, but Jude brushes her off, saying it’s fine.

Eliza pulls Brandon aside and tells him not to sign the prenup. Brandon is confused as to why Callie would tell her that. Brandon asks her what other strings are attached with the condo, as there are always strings with her parents. Sometimes he thinks their approval is the only thing that matters to her. Eliza doesn’t want to argue over nothing while they’re drunk, but Brandon is all riled up.

Mariana dances between Jesus and Jayden on the dance floor, trying to stop him from doing something he’s regret. Jesus is angry at Mariana for telling him about Emma’s job offer since they’re now broken up for good because of it. Mariana thinks Jesus is being unfair, especially by wanting Emma to turn down an amazing job offer and be kept in the dark about the whole thing. He tells her to shut her mouth about things that don’t concern her and move far away from him.

Jude sees Carter drunkenly and aggressively flirting with a girl and decides to force him home before he makes a fool out of himself. When Jude puts him to bed, Carter tries to kiss him, but Jude stops it, telling him to sleep it off. Carter starts crying and hugging Jude, saying he’s messed up. Carter asks Jude to stay with him until he falls asleep.

Jamie walks Callie back to her room, making it clear he’s still interested in her. She tells him goodnight and finds Brandon sitting by the pool. She tells Brandon that Eliza knows their history, and they both wonder how she found out.

Brandon expresses doubts about their marriage, questioning if she’s the one after all. He says he doesn’t think anybody really gets him, and Callie assures him she does. Brandon says Callie is the only one who has ever really taken care of him. She’s the person he trusts most in the world, and Callie feels the same about him.

Mat tells Mariana that Ashley isn’t the one he wants to take back to her room—she is. Mariana debates going with him, and Jayden goes back to Jesus’ place. Callie and Brandon both go back to their rooms alone, but Callie makes the snap decision to get up and knock on Jamie’s door.
