Each week I’ll be picking the best drama, comedy, and sci-fi/fantasy moments from the shows of the prior week. They might be equipped with some of your favorite ships, hilarious high notes or tear-jerking moments so keep reading if you are still not over what happened on your favorite TV show this week!

Drama: How To Get Away With Murder, Please Say No One Else Is Dead” – #WhereIsLaurel #WhereIsChristopher

The ending of the season finale of How To Get Away With Murder wasn’t as shocking as it was the perfect set up for the next season. As much as I dislike the stories on this show continuously being centered around Laurel and her family, I liked this ending. Not because Laurel (Karla Souza) is missing, but because now there will be more for her to do than just whining about how in love her and Wes were. I already have my theories on who took her and her son. If they don’t kill this character off, this would be a perfect way to revamp her.

Comedy: Black-ish, “Black History Month” – The unsung heroes

The ladies of the family pointed out how every time the men brought up someone to use for the Black History Month presentation they used a black man instead of a woman. The best part of the discussion was Diane (Marsai Martin) suggesting her principal as a Black History Month figure. The media and schools often only highlight the black figures who are extremely well-known or famous. Black history is also about the smaller achievements going on right in our hometowns and happen daily. Diane mentioning her teacher as someone she looks up to for Black History Month was so heartwarming and unique compared to all the other figures mentioned by the family.

Sci-fi/Fantasy: Doom Patrol, “Puppet Patrol” – Trip to Paraguay

When Larry (Matt Bomer), Jane (Diane Guerrero) and Cliff (Brendan Fraser) all have revelations while Strumbanhfuhrer Von Fuchs (Julian Richings) is talking to Jane I loved how it moved from each character and how the shifts were so clearly shown. We saw a lot of Larry’s story this week so seeing more of his past was refreshing from the past two episodes. Larry and Jane’s confessions in this moment were similar in that they don’t really know their true identities anymore and who really has control over them. Cliff’s was more subtle as he just needed to let go of the guilt and realize that he can’t escape what’s inside of him. I am really loving this show and its wild storytelling. This week was especially fun.
