Each week I’ll be picking the best drama, comedy or reality TV and sci-fi/fantasy moments from the shows of the prior week. They may sometimes be equipped with some of your favorite ships or tear-jerking moments. So, keep reading if you are still not over what happened on your favorite TV show this week!

Drama: Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist,  “Pilot” – A surprising premiere!

When I originally saw the previews for this series I wasn’t completely amped about watching it because breaking out into song has become less of my thing for television shows – unless it’s done really well. Well, Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist passed my expectations! I think I’ll be tuning in for the rest of this season. The moment that really cemented my opinion of this show, was when Zoey (Jane Levy) sits down to talk to her dad (Peter Gallagher) because she needs to vent to someone about what’s been going on with her. His musical moment was so beautiful to watch because after seeing it Zoey realized that maybe this thing could actually be a gift to really get her to connect with people on a deeper level. I think this is going to be a special show.

Comedy/Reality TV: Single Parents, “The Angie-Man” – We love a good trope!

When Will (Taran Killam) throws a party for his parents he and Angie (Leighton Meester) accidentally get mistakenly put into a relationship by them. I love a good trope, so the best friend to lovers storyline is definitely high on my list of favorites. After one episode, I’m rooting for this duo to make it official and become a couple. When they have to retell fake stories of their firsts, it just goes to show how perfect the two are for each other. They slip into these stories as a couple so well and sell it without any hesitation. They get each other and I hope these best friends find their way to each other after this little break.

Sci-fi/Fantasy: Doctor Who – “Spyfall: Part 2” – It’s time the Doctor stops running.

Learning The Doctor’s (Jodie Whittaker) connection to The Master (Sacha Dhawan) was the most interesting part of this episode. The Doctor revealing some things about her past set up a lot for the rest of the series. She had to confront what once happened to her and now that she has revealed it to the others she can no longer run. It’s about to get even more interesting between The Doctor and The Master.
