Each week I’ll be picking the best drama, comedy or reality TV and sci-fi/fantasy moments from the shows of the prior week. They may sometimes be equipped with some of your favorite ships or tear-jerking moments. So, keep reading if you are still not over what happened on your favorite TV show this week!

Drama: Killing Eve, “Are You Leading or Am I?” – What if we never look back? What if we do?

Eve (Sandra Oh) and Villanelle (Jodie Comer) share a moment that leaves the audience wondering where things will lead two next between the two characters at the closing of the season. As Eve and Villanelle walk away from each other, with the purpose to never look back so that their evils that possibly feed off each other are no longer attached, the two turn back and hold their gazes. We all know the relationship between the two is something magnetic, but what does this final moment mean for them exactly?

Comedy/Reality TV: Insecure, “Lowkey Happy” –  “No eggshells.”

Issa (Issa Rae) and Lawrence (Jay R. Ellis) had a conversation about their relationship that showed how much growth the two have both had over the years. While sitting in a restaurant the two had their most vulnerable conversation about their breakup. We learned more about what the couple was going through that ultimately led to the decisions they made in the series premiere. With faded out music and intimate directorial angles, Issa and Lawrence finally talked about the roles they both played in the ultimate ending of their relationship. The most beautiful thing about this scene is how they were able to navigate through it without it escalating into an argument. They both listened and heard what the other had to say and took responsibility for their own actions, while also expressing the pain they went through because of their actions. Rae and Ellis are so good at portraying the easy flowing commentary between the two characters. They have such a great rapport that has been mentioned before and that banter continued to lead them through this episode and showed just how comfortable they still were with each other. This episode helped Issa and Lawrence reveal things they didn’t know about each other and allowed them to be brought closer together.  I am always rooting for these two and I think this episode ended on a good and open note. This moment gave the two more clarity overall. It’s a stunningly written episode by Natasha Rothwell that elevated the characters even more.

Sci-fi/Fantasy: The 100, “False Gods” – Was it worth it?

Raven’s (Lindsey Morgan) sacrifices bring more trauma to her than anything else. After making the decision to sacrifice others, Raven is visibly in an unhealthy state as she looks regretful of her actions. Raven has been through so much and had to handle more than some, but these measures will definitely take a toll on her that she may have not seen coming. The title of the episode truly bled into many characters’ storylines.
