Top 3 TV Moments – November 8 – November 13

Each week I’ll be picking the best drama, comedy or reality TV and sci-fi/fantasy moments from the shows of the prior week. They may sometimes be equipped with some of your favorite ships or tear-jerking moments. So, keep reading if you are still not over what happened on your favorite TV show this week!

Drama: Grey’s Anatomy, “The Center Won’t Hold” – Are we McDreaming?

We may not have been dreaming when we saw the one and only Derek Shepherd (Patrick Dempsey) on the beach smiling at Meredith (Ellen Pompeo), but she sure was. I mean, talk about a premiere fit for 2020! Obviously, the final moments where we get to see Derek smiling at Meredith across the beach was my favorite this week. At first I thought for sure it was fake, but once they got a close up of his face I knew it was him. I screamed. I cried. I did everything that the typical “MerDer” shipper would do. I hate that we have to see Meredith like this in order to see Derek, but I can’t wait to see more of Derek in next week’s episode when Meredith continues to go through her hallucinations.

Comedy/Reality TV: Dash & Lily, “Hanukkah” – Lily takes a moment to let it all go.

Lily (Midori Francis) gets a chance to let go and not be so closed off when Dash (Austin Abrams) sends her to a nightclub. At first she’s so nervous and gets a drink spilled all over her, but a note Dash leaves in the bathroom saying “Get back out there, Lily” makes her want to push to move outside of her comfort zone. When she finally does, it’s a beautiful moment of her letting go and being free. She dances in the center of the crowd and lets go of her uncomfortableness for just a moment. This show was happiness and joy– just what you need for the holidays!

Sci-fi/Fantasy: The Walking Dead: World Beyond, “Shadow Puppets” – It’s the end of the world, but there is still hope.

Iris (Aliyah Royale), Hope (Alexa Mansour), Percy (Ted Sutherland), Silas (Hal Cumpston) and Elton (Nicolas Cantu) all sit down to watch “the end of the world” shadow puppets play. As they’re watching it’s clear that it is causing everyone to get emotional just from looking at the images. At the end, a new flower grows and then images of new people flush the screen. It’s a picture of hope and one that shows maybe it won’t be like this forever. I really loved that moment and how Iris and Hope held hands at the end.
