WHAT?  Twentyfiveish

WHY SHOULD I WATCH?

Right now, only the trailer has been released for this six-part digital series that was funded with the help of a Seed & Spark campaign.  All six episodes have been filmed and are awaiting release, though I do not believe a specific date for release for the general public has been revealed. If you were able to attend LAWebFest that happened in April, then you had an opportunity to see the screening of Twentyfiveish and meet most of its cast.

Twentyfiveish is a mixture between a comedy and a drama where five friends that all went to high school together keep a pact to meet up seven years after high school to see how each of them turned out. This series asks the universal question that everyone in their mid to late twenties asks of themselves – Has my life turned out the way I anticipated it would when I was seventeen years old?

Rosie (Kateyln Tarver) decided to pursue an acting career, which has not panned out the way she had hoped. Stella (Valerie Lucas) got married and had kids, but realizes that while she loves her family she missed out on some important time for self-exploration. Tucker (Brendan Robinson) is doing his best to cheer up Rosie, but surprising her with the seven-year reunion (that she had forgotten about) may not have been the best approach to lifting her spirits. Griffin (Ben Welch), who was the object of Rosie’s affections, is now no longer married. The reunion of these four friends is turned on its head when outsider Vic (Ritesh Rajan) crashes the party and whose presence forces the other characters to answer the question of whether they measure up to their own expectations.
