Q) How would you describe your sound?

A) I love many different genres of music and my sound reflects that. Mainly it’s a fusion of RnB, Hip Hop and Dancehall.

Q) Who are some of your musical influences?

A) Drake, Total, Aaliyah, Mary J Blige, Beyoncé, Destiny’s Child

Q) Talk about the story behind your new song “No Goodbyes.”

A) I went to the studio and told my producer that I really want to create a song for God. I had just finished listening to Mary Mary‘s song “Walking“ and thought, “WOW! That’s it. I wanna do a dope, danceable song like this for God.”

Q) You’re a part of social media. What have fans been sharing with you about their connection to the track?

A) It’s so great to see how many people love the song and the overall nostalgic 90‘s vibe. I’ve gotten so much love and positive feedback which is a blessing.

Q) How does the video for “No Goodbyes” play into the message behind it?

A) It was important to me that the music video reflects the 90‘s vibe I have in the song. I definitely wanted the audience to get an exciting music video and to see the baggy clothes, black leather, dark sunglasses and typical 90‘s dance in the video.

Q) What is your song writing process? Do you need music before you can create lyrics?

A) It‘s always different and depends on the vibe. Sometimes the lyrics just come and other times I need to create the beat first with my producer to find the lyrics.

Q) PRGRSHN helps out on the production side of your music, but how much of a say do you have when it comes to the production of your music?

A) From the instruments, the speed of the beat to the finished song, I have a say in every production step which is important to me and I’m grateful for that.

Q) Will there be a full album or EP coming in the new year?

A) There’s definitely new music and projects planned for 2023 so stay tuned

Q) Who would you most like to collaborate with on a song in the future?

A) Drake, Chris Brown, Kehlani

Q) What album/band are you currently listening to and why do you dig them?

A) Right now I’m listening to Kehlani‘s album called Blue Water Road. It‘s a great album that speaks about love. It’s very emotional. It’s really dope.

Q) What would you like to say to everyone who is a fan and supporter of you and your work?

A) Thank you for the love and support and stay tuned. 2023 It’s gonna be a crazy year and I can’t wait.
