Wynonna Earp – Better Dig Two

The episode jumps right where we left off last week with Wynonna (Melanie Scrofano) and Waverly (Dominique Provost-Chalkley) face to face after she´s become the Dark Angel all while chaos is rising at the prison where everybody´s being held. Mercedes (Dani Kind) was shot, so that´s not good for Doc (Tim Rozon). His vampire instincts are starting to kick and he´s fighting the urge to feed off her while Jeremy (Varun Sarunga) and Freddy (Orin McCusker) are trying to help him. Jeremy is able to get Doc calm enough to not feed and he even offers himself.

We find that the fog is no longer needed and that the Dark Angel absorbed it. Wynonna refuses to watch her sister become this thing, so the Angel blinds her, temporarily. She´s left alone in the dark until Billy (Billy Bryk) in his reaper form finds her, but before he hurts them Rachel (Martina Ortiz-Luis) makes a deal with Cleo (Savannah Basley) to save her and turn Billy back to his human form. So, her blood is linked to him to start the process. Billy finds Wynonna and gives her Peacemaker, guides her out of the forest and into the Clanton´s ranch. He knows they have Rachel and Wynonna needs to help her. So, he goes to find someone to help him. He seeks out Nedley (Greg Lawson). He makes an incantation and makes him the Clanton heir.

Mercedes eventually comes up with a solution, to become a vampire in order to heal. Doc sires her with her consent, so the two of them with Freddy´s help are able to break the bars. They break every monster out of their cells, too. While Nicole (Kat Barrell) is wandering in the forest still, she hears something over the radio. The militaries are going to eliminate Purgatory! Therefore, she turns and goes to help them. The gang is stopped at the door by General Graham (Stafford Perry); however, Nicole is behind him with a gun.

Wynonna finds Rachel at the Clanton´s ranch tied up while Cleo is giving some sort of speech about her ancestors. Apparently, she´s trying to complete a ritual to pass over being the Clanton Heir to someone else, so she does not have to carry the curse anymore. When they try to leave Sheriff Hoyt (Ty Olsson) is there. He became a reaper because that´s what happens to them when they die.

Doc says he needs to get ready for something while everybody else gets out; however, he comes face to face with Waverly in her angel form. All while hearing some voices in his head, he says they should evacuate but she´s demanding the book from The Garden. Before it escalates he disappear before her eyes. He shows at the Clanton´s. It seems that he´s the heir and is challenging Wynonna to a duel. He has Rachel so Wynonna has no choice. She tries to reach him, but he does not comply. They take the steps, but Wynonna does not turn around.She knows that he won´t shoot someone in the back. Although, she does shoot Hoyt in the head and Doc gets shot as well. He asks her to kill him but she refuses. Dark Waverly shows up just in time to save his life and turns him back into human. Wynonna begs her not to leave, but that´s no longer Waverly.

Nicole goes to the stairs. She asks Waverly to figure out another solution. She offers to be the Guardian of the Ghost River Triangle. Their story is in the book apparently. They go through some sort of ritual and Nicole is no longer able to leave ever. She will be bound to the land as she is now the Angel´s Shield. And we have Waverly back.

Finally, they are all at Shorty´s. Doc can see his reflection again and Nicole talks about the wedding.
