The show opens with Gabi (Emily Osment) and Sofia (Aimee Carrero) at the border control line, waiting to get back into the USA. Gabi flirts with the border agent (Greg Cromer), who wants them to park so he can search the car.

Gabi is about to confess that JuanCarlo (Jose Moreno Brooks) is in the car when Sofia sees him for herself. She panics that they are about to be arrested when the border agent says he found something in the car. The girls panic, but it turns out to be a mango. He tells them it is illegal to have one and Sofia begs for forgiveness. He lets them go, but keeps the mango. However, she forgets that she is in park and ends up opening her trunk, exposing JuanCarlo and getting caught by the border agent.

The girls are finally home, saying they are thankful they got off with a warning and didn’t end up in jail as each other’s prison bitches. Sofia pours a drink and disagrees with Gabi with it ending well since JuanCarlo is back in Mexico. She thinks it wasn’t meant to be, but Gabi has a plan.

Josh (Jonathan Sadowski) is at his house playing his piano when Elliot (Rex Lee) walks in. He thinks Josh got it for him, but it turns out Josh got it from the San Francisco Philharmonic as a thank you for donating money. Elliot tells him that if he wants to give money to something gay to look right here.

Gabi walks in and Josh welcomes her home saying she is even more beautiful now that he had his eye surgery. She needs to talk to him, but he takes her upstairs.

Elliot plays the piano, which oddly enough, gets Yolanda (Kym Whitley) hot and bothered, until she realizes it is Elliot playing.

In the bedroom, Gabi tells Josh about the Mexico debacle. He reminds her she committed a federal crime. She asks him to get JuanCarlo a work Visa, but he say no because it is difficult, especially since he broke the law. The two fight, with him saying she never thinks and her saying love is about doing stupid things. She leaves in a huff.

Gabi and Sofia are in the car when Gabi tells her they can get an immigration lawyer via her shared ride job. They look up lawyers as they ping her and finally accept one. However, the lawyer Nick (Chris Smith) is annoyed it is a shared ride and he doesn’t want to hear Sofia’s story.

She tells it anyway and he thinks it is pathetic and says she can’t expect him to abandon his cases so that she can get laid. Sofia kicks him out, but he then agrees to help only if Gabi goes on a date with him. She agrees but doesn’t realize that it is a date until Sofia points it out. She then realizes what Josh means about not thinking.

Elliot is playing the piano again, turning Yolanda on once more. She wants it to stop, but he tells her she knows she loves him tickling the ivories. She begs him to stop and kisses him…but it turns out it is a dream.

Meanwhile, Sofia and Gabi are at their apartment cooking dinner for the lawyer date. Sofia is worried, but Gabi thinks everything will be fine. Nick arrives and he and Sofia get into a bickering match that ends with them making out…even though he was working on getting JuanCarlo the Visa. Gabi walks in on them kissing, admitting she didn’t see this coming.

Josh arrives and they go in the hall. He tells her he got JuanCarlo to come into the country. She goes back into the apartment to find out why Sofia and Nick were kissing. Sofia says she was confused and repulsed. Gabi explains JuanCarlo is there to see her and he comes into the apartment. He kisses Sofia, but then sees Nick and wonders who he is and why he is there. The girls say he is the lawyer they hired for him to get him into the USA. Nick says he is no longer needed, so he shakes hands with JuanCarlo, welcomes him into the country and leaves. Sofia walks him out and tells him to forget the kiss and she didn’t like it. He tells her three days before she is back to him.

It actually takes only one day before Sofia and JuanCarlo are tired of each other. They complain to Gabi and Josh, saying that each one isn’t the person they were in Mexico.

Elliot is still at the piano and Yolanda is still turned on, so she begs him to stop playing. She tells him about the dream and how it reminded her of her ex-husband. Elliot likes the comparison, but it turns out it is the song he is playing that brings back memories. They sit down with some wine and he tells her that all of this is a sign she is ready to move on. He then says the only big black thing he will be touching is the piano.

Gabi and Sofia head to Josh’s home, where Sofia plans to end things with JuanCarlo. She tells Gabi to forget her birthday next year.

Sofia goes into Josh’s office, thinking she is talking to JuanCarlo. She admits the magic of Mexico is what made things special. She adds that she met someone else and it turns out she is spilling her guts to Nick, who says it took one day. They kiss, Gabi and Josh kiss, Elliot and Yolanda play the piano and everyone is happy.

The show ends with Elliot at the piano, trying to get Yolanda to talk to him and admit her feelings. They kiss, Elliot wakes up and says they need to get rid of the piano.
