The episode kicks off with the aftermath of the events that took place earlier that day at campus where Luke (Patrick Schwarzenegger) took Professor Brink’s (Clancy Brown) life to then take his own as well. The campus crew is now in charge of cleaning everything that was left of the tragedy during the somber night that only reflects the sentiment that persists after such loss. Marie (Jaz Sinclair) and Andre (Chance Perdomo) observe as the remains of his friend are swept away as though he was nothing while grieving over him before the prying eyes of other students. Later on Cate (Maddie Phillips) arrives to the place and manages to pass the barrier of guards that are standing there to keep the others at bay while crying over her boyfriend’s death.

Meanwhile, CEO of Vought Ashley Barrett (Colby Minifie) discusses with the Dean Indira Shetty (Shelley Conn) and the board about the approach they will have in regards to the recent events and they agree that the best is to bring Marie and Andre to the front of the situation and show them as the heroes that fought against the Golden Boy. Marie returns to her dorm where Emma (Lizze Broadway) is waiting for her to try to cheer her up after everything she went through but the young girl is not exactly in the mood to do anything beyond sleeping and getting ready for their very first day of class so, she decides go to bed in front of a very disappointed Emma. The next day everything seems to have changed; as Marie walks through the hallways, she is suddenly recognized and praised for her heroism and although she is just a freshman at God U she has managed to get a place between the Top 10 students there. Still surprised at these recent news she meets Jeff (Dan Beirne), the God U social media director, who after congratulating her hands her a phone and puts her up to speed about what comes next for her. Just as the Dean Shetty had discussed with the board the night before, their whole new plan has started and now Marie and Andre are at the forefront of the situation being used as a distraction from the mess they have caused. So, soon both of them find themselves being photographed right and left and have also been scheduled to have a scripted interview with one of the most prestigious presenters, Hailey Miller (Leigh Bush). On the other side, Andre’s father Polarity (Sean Patrick Thomas) couldn’t be prouder that his son is reaching fast to the top. Andre tries to confront him about something that Luke said before the tragedy struck but he changes the subject immediately leaving no space for a further discussion. After a while, Andre finds a moment to be alone with Marie and lets her know his thoughts about all of the mystery surrounding his friend’s death but Marie has already been in so much trouble since she got there that she just asks him to leave her out of all of that mess to what Andre agrees.

On the other side of the situation, there’s Emma who is still trying to find her place at God U. The student is now attending a theatre class where she spots Liam (Robert Bazzocchi), a guy she spent a night with and with whom she wants to team up with for a class project but he passes on her making her realize that he is not interested at all and not in a good guy. Such act does not go unnoticed by Justine (Maia Jae Bastidas) a struggling blogger that decides to stand out for Emma in front of the guy and then asks her to team up with her for their class project. While Marie is on her way to her dorm, she is notified that she has been invited to the usual junior meeting for the supes since her “heroic” intervention has earned her a place there. Nobody seems to have any issue with it except for Jordan Li (Derek Luh)/(London Thor) who does not seem to agree quite well with such decision. In said meeting, the new Dean Shetty informs them that she will be replacing Professor Brink and taking over all of his activities. When the meeting is over, Jordan Li confronts Marie saying that she is taking the credit for something she didn’t do and begs her to confess the truth about who was the one who actually fought Luke. Therefore, she agrees to say everything as it truly happened during the interview that will be carried out later that night.

Emma and her new friend Justine are spending some time together, entertaining themselves with some drugs and talking about their lives before they start working on their theatre project. Emma finds herself comfortable with the other girls’ presence and decides to come clean about how she feels and the process she goes through when trying to make herself small and Justine appears to sympathize with her. The next day, while Emma is taking a walk through the campus, she realizes that everyone seems to be looking weirdly at her and then she learns the reason why. It seems Justine has made a video where she has spilled the beans about everything that Emma said to her and now the whole campus knows what was supposed to remain as a confident conversation, so she decides to go and face the other girl who apologizes claiming that she didn’t know that it was supposed to be a secret and excuses herself saying that she thought that Emma’s story might help other girls who may be going through the same situation as hers.

Dean Shetty calls Marie for a meeting to let her know that she is there to support her but the girl declines on any type of assistance saying that all she cares about is to be a hero, and make some money so she could find her sister and prove her that she is not a monster and that way, maybe they can go back to be a family again. After the meeting, Dean Shetty pays a visit to Dr. Edison (Marco Pigossi) who seems to be troubled by Professor Brink’s death. Nearby, we could see Sam (Asa Germann) being tortured by him. (Sam was the guy who Marie and Andre managed to stop from running away in a prior episode). On the other hand, Andre and Cate are determined to get to the bottom of the situation and find the actual reasons behind Luke’s death so they pay a visit to his room only to find that has been wiped clean and there is no trace that he was ever there. That same night Cate and Andre are still trying to find clues that might help them to clarify what was truly going on with Luke and the guy is still quite concerned about his friends’ last words to him where he confessed that Andre’s father “had something.” While walking around campus Andre sees his father’s statue and realizes that maybe Luke hid something in there so he makes a whole in there and finds a cellphone that contains a video of a very concerned Luke confessing that “The Woods” (which he refers to as a hospital of nightmares) has held his brother captive. Yes, it is the same brother that everyone thought that has passed away a long time ago but it seems that he is still alive and has been an object of different kind of tests that Professor Brink was part of and now he asks for his friend and girlfriend’s assistance to find him and help him. Later on, Andre is ready and heading straight to the interview with Hailey Miller but before, he decides to pay a visit to Professor Brink’s office; he searches through his computer files and finds a folder titled “The Woods” where he sees Sam’s profile and discovers that the guy that was running away and he helped to capture was actually Luke’s brother. Suddenly, he hears voices coming outside the door and manages to hide under the desk just in time before a group of armed and uniformed men enter the place and take the computer and every file from the office with them. Andre follows them being careful of not to be seen and he watches as they kill Ron (Jason Reilly), a janitor who’s only mistake was to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. While trying to help the guy on the floor, he is seen by one of the men of the group named Bob (Samy Osman) and although Andre tries to fight him using his super powers, Bob takes out a device that sends out a sound that makes him bend down his knees. That is when everything has seemed to be lost for him, another woman (Celestine Caravaggio) who seems to be part of the group as well, comes from behind Bob and orders him to leave the guy alone; Bob seems to be surprised that his partner is asking him for that but then, we realize that the one who is behind all of that is actually Cate, who has been manipulating the woman and now, has also taken Bob’s will making him do what she wants. Fortunately, she has saved her friend’s life but it seems that almost costs hers as she faints in Andre’s arms.

On the other side of campus a very nervous Marie is getting herself ready for her interview at the “One on One with Hailey Miller” show and carefully studies the script she has been given while Andre’s father Polarity has started to lose his senses when he sees that his son is nowhere to be around. Before the interview, Hailey introduces herself to Marie and let it slip that the girl’s sister was invited to participate in the show but unfortunately, she had made clear that she didn’t want anything to do with Marie. When hearing this, Marie asks the presenter to give her more information about her sister’s whereabouts but the other woman ignores her. This revelation changes the whole agenda that Marie had for the night making her to break the promise she made to Jordan Li and lying about the whole situation while Jordan watches her in disgust.
