Q) What are the recent projects that you are working on?

A) I finished shooting “A.P. Bio,” recently shot an ABC/eBay commercial and have been auditioning for new projects like crazy! I am also in the process of working on producing/writing my own short film.

Q) Please tell us the premise for the series “A.P. Bio” and about your character, Grace.

A) A philosopher professor named Jack Griffin (Glenn Howerton) doesn’t get his dream job and ends up moving back to Toledo, Ohio to live in his dead mom’s apartment while teaching Advanced Placement Biology at Whitlock High School. Realizing that his students are smart A.P. kids, he uses them as his minions and takes them on wild adventures to avenge those in his past. Grace is a sweet, kind, go-with-the-flow kind of girl who loves to help her friends. She gets caught up with all the antics of her classmates. Grace is book smart, but her street smarts could definitely use some work.

Q) What made you want to be a part of the show?

A) The writing is clever and hilarious. I love comedy and the tone of the humor really spoke to me. I thought the premise of the show was original and wasn’t the cookie-cutter storyline of “a wholesome teacher bestowing his knowledge on his students.” Instead, it is his students that help Jack grow as a person. There are so many amazing people attached to this project! I feel so lucky and grateful!

  1. Q) Was there anything you added to Grace that wasn’t originally in her character breakdown?

A) I added her huge sense of enthusiasm and curiosity.

Q) Talk about working alongside Glenn Howerton.

A) He’s hilarious! It was fun for me to watch his process on set and sort of learn from his great comedic chops. He’s such a great improviser. He would also give us his insights of the industry which were really helpful.

Q) You have great comedic timing. Is it something that has come naturally to you or have you had to work at it?

A) Thank you! But both. I would say that I had some natural comedic tendencies, but it wasn’t until I got myself into an acting class that I really started to understand joke structure and how to capitalize on the humor in every piece of dialogue.

Q) What was your favorite episode of the show to film?

A) Either the “Overachieving Virgins” episode that is set to premiere March 1st or another upcoming episode involving a house party.

Q) What were some of your most memorable moments from filming “A.P. Bio?”

A) Some of the most memorable moments include just hanging out with the cast. We’d put in a lot of long hours and by the end of the day we would just be so loopy on location and just have a blast being silly with each other. The most memorable moment would be right after shooting the last scene of the season. It was a school dance episode, and after we shot the last scene, the rest of the crew and cast all came together to dance in the school gym. We were all laughing and crying that it was over.

Q) You are a part of social media. Are you looking forward to the instant fan feedback to episodes?

A) Yes! I love being able to interact with fans and see what they think of the show.

Q) What advice would you give to others who want to start out in the acting business?

A) I would advise them to get involved in a great acting class and at the same time I think it is important to pursue other passions and do well in school. It all goes hand in hand. Work hard to become the best you can be so that when the right opportunity arises, you’re ready!

Q) What would you like to say to everyone who is a fan and supporter of you and your work?

A) Thank you so much for watching the show! It means the world to me that I can bring smiles and laughter to you all through “A.P. Bio.” I can’t wait for you guys to see the rest of the season and learn more about all our characters, especially Grace!
