Q) How would you best describe your sound?

A) I grew up listening to late 90’s and early 2000’s country, so I definitely take sounds from then and incorporate it into my music today. I’d describe my sound as country, but with touches of pop,

Q) Who are some of your musical influences?

A) I have many musical influences, but I’d have to say my top ones are Fleetwood Mac, Miranda Lambert and Martina McBride. All of these artists have inspired me through their style, metaphoric lyrics and captivating melodies.

Q) Congrats on the release of “Get To Me!” What can you tell us about this song?

A) Thank you! “Get To Me” was written by myself and producer/co-writer, Dave Pittenger. There’s a lyric in the song “you get to me like the high of a rodeo” that relates to my real life. Funny enough, at the time of writing this song I was in Texas working barrel horses with my family friend and it just came to mind! I wanted something fun and flirty for all my girls out there!

Q) Talk about “Moment or a Memory” and what makes these songs the perfect follow up to your single “Restless Wind?”

A) “Moment or a Memory” was actually a more challenging song to get completed. My co-writer/producer Don Miggs was really patient in helping make it what it is. “Moment or a Memory” is about something that happens in your life or when you meet someone really special but you’re not sure of how it’ll turn out. Kind of living in the unknown of what something could be. I feel this was a great song to release after “Restless Wind” because “Restless Wind” was a preface of who I am and my story of leaving my hometown of Las Vegas to follow my dreams in Nashville. “Moment or a Memory” shows my audience a heartier version of me and my voice.

Q) “Moment or a Memory” is beautifully haunting. What do you think it is about the song that fans connect to?

A) As previously stated, it did take a few sessions to really get this song right. But hey, all great things take time.

It’s about meeting someone that left a great impression on me, and I grasped influence from Stevie Nicks while making this track. My producer Don Miggs mastered the dreamy effect of the music.

Q) When it comes to your music, what is your song writing process? Do you need music before you can create lyrics?

A) My writing process can vary. For instance, I could be practicing my guitar, coming up with cool riffs, running around town and a lyric comes up in my head, writing about something going on in my life or in a big write and we all bounce ideas off each other! Making music is super fun for me because it’s like creating art! There aren’t any rules, and you can be as creative as you want.

Q) How much of a hand do you have in the production of your music?

A) I do love to be as involved in the production as possible, but I also stay aware that the producers are hired for a reason and to trust their expertise.

Q) Will there be a full album or EP coming in the near future?

A) Yes, so glad you asked. I am in the process of recording my EP to be released this year! I feel intro EP’s are great because it showcases the artists style, sound and who they are.

Q) Where are some of your favorite places to perform and what makes those locations so significant to you?

A) My all-time favorite places to perform at are rodeos. Growing up showing and training horses makes me feel at home with my people. Everyone gets along, shares the same interests, and of course, watches the competitors.

Q) Who would you most like to collaborate with on a song in the future?

A) I truly would love to collaborate with Carrie Underwood or Miranda Lambert! Carrie is such a powerhouse it’d be such an honor to share the stage with her. Miranda, I feel, is a good ol’ cowgirl like myself. Her story telling is truly superb.

Q) What artist/band are you currently listening to and why do you dig them?

A) You might laugh at me, but I mostly listen to the radio station Jack-FM here in Nashville! They play 80’s/70’s pop and rock music. I find the songwriting and melodics really captivating, therefore inspiring the music I create today.

Q) You are a part of social media. Why is that such an important way for you to connect with your fans?

A) Social media has changed the game for the music industry. One song can go viral and that could change the rest of your life! It also has a great impact on how I connect with my fans because platforms like TikTok, Instagram and Twitter have made it very accessible and interactive!

Q) What would you like to say to everyone who is a fan and supporter of you and your work?

A) Always a big THANK YOU and we’re just getting started! I’m blessed to have family and friends that are so supportive. It feels good to know that I have people cheering me on, even people I don’t know who watch on social media! It all makes a difference.
