Laszlo (Matt Berry) is arguing with Nandor (Kayvan Novak) as he believes Nandor uses his hypnosis methods more often than not and calls him out on having the lack of imagination to manage to charm people differently. Laszlo is proud of his own abilities to make humans to do what he wants without having to use hypnosis. However, at first glance, this appears to be nothing more than just Laszlo’s insecurities coming to the surface. On the other hand, Nadja (Natasia Demetriou) is still very much upset about the loss of her nightclub and continues to blame everyone else for this situation feeling that nobody did anything in their power to stop her from getting lost in the liquor blood. To make matters worse, she also feels guilty and responsible for having been the cause of Dolly’s (Natasia Demetriou) crashed legs. It seems this will haunt her for eternity (and that’s a lot to say here). Nandor suggests that maybe he can solve Nadja’s problems using a little bit of hypnosis, something to what Laszlo opposes to categorically. All of a sudden The Guide (Kristen Schaal) appears, trying to blend in with the group.  Unfortunately for her, they don’t want to have any sort of contact with her and end up ignorng her.

Later, Laszlo and Nandor go out for a night out at a wine bar with their neighbor Sean (Anthony Atamanuik) and his friends in an attempt to have some fun. It turns out that Laszlo manages to practically enchant everyone with his poetic skills making Nandor want to do the same. However, he ends up causing the opposite effect as they are left terrified. Therefore, Laszlo needs to step into action and save him from continue to embarrass himself. Despite all of this, there is something on Nandor’s mind that still bothers him and it is the fact that Guillermo (Harvey Guillén) continues to be distant and behaving oddly. Nandor believes it might be instigated by the fact he does not have a job anymore which leaves him with a lot of time on his hands to spend it reflecting on his own existence. Surely ,Nandor won’t let this pass as easily. All of a sudden things get heated at the bar and a fight happens. Unfortunately for the vampires the police get involved. Despite the fact that Laszlo and Nandor are experienced and skilled vampires they are outnumbered by the people fighting. Laszlo attempts to charm everyone there but despite his efforts, things get a little side tracked when one of the police cars is stolen and Nandor and Laszlo end up inside the car. The guys end up abandoning the police car; however, one of them finds a gun inside of it and lets off some rounds, which summons the police again. The humans are able to escape, but Laszlo and Nandor are not able to charm their way out of being arrested.

Back at the vampire residence, still overwhelmed by her current situation, Nadja decides to let everything out trusting her deepest concerns to The Guide. In her attempt to be part of the group, The Guide lets the vampire to vent and makes the choice to help her solve her issues. She expresses that maybe all of this Nadja has been going through must be the result of an ancient hex and encourages her to try to find the source of it in order to discover who might have done her wrong. She asks her to dig back into her past and find someone she might have hurt as well. The Guide looks for clues around the room until she sets her eyes in the picture of a woman (Angeliki Giannakopoulos) and asks Nadja about it. Nadja disliked this woman and attempts to rid herself in various ways of her photo, but it keeps returning to the bookshelf.

Laszlo and Nandor are in jail. Laszlo finally confesses that he feels jealous about his colleague’s hypnosis skills and abilities and even encourages him to use them to bail them out of there. Nandor does not wait any longer to do it and even mocks the authorities by convincing them that they are famous people – Nandor being Sully Sullenberger and Laslzo is “the mustached man from his favorite crime show” – which Laszlo is excited to be compared to Tom Selleck from “Blue Bloods.” Not only does Nandor manage to get them out of prison but to also makes the police to practically bow their reveries to them.

Meanwhile, Nadja is now convinced that she has been hexed and in order to get herself out of the situation she needs to use a text that, unfortunately for her, is been written in something called “Antipaxos language.” So, she asks for Colin’s (Mark Proksch) assistance on this matter. He wonders why she doesn’t just visit “Little Antipaxos” to get it translated. Nadja is annoyed that Colin never told her about this place before, but once thereNadja feels nostalgic for her homeland.

In the meantime, Guillermo meets Derek (Chris Sandiford) and expresses his concerns about how after all the time that has passed since he was bitten by him he hasn’t yet turned into a full vampire. Derek suggests that maybe it is time to go and meet with Baron Afanas (Doug Jones) and ask about why this might have happened. The Baron recommends them to repeat the same process using another vampire to see if the situation changes, but then after doing it the pair learns that when a vampire drinks the blood of another vampire they tend to explode. Therefore, unfortunately, this practice does not solve anything and they are back to square one.

Later on, Guillermo has the feeling that Laszlo might know what is truly going on with him, so he admits to him that he had looked for Derek’s help to turn him into a vampire, something that makes the other vampire very angry. However, Laszlo says that maybe he should not tell the truth to Nandor and that he would be willing to try to persuade him into turning him into a vampire. Unfortunately, after what just happened when he tried that already, Guillermo doesn’t think that would be a solution.
