Each week I’ll be picking the best drama, comedy or reality TV and sci-fi/fantasy moments from the shows of the prior week. They may sometimes be equipped with some of your favorite ships or tear-jerking moments. So, keep reading if you are still not over what happened on your favorite TV show this week!

Drama: Bridgerton, “Diamond of the First Water” – The scandals begin…

With narrations from the one and only Julie Andrews as Lady Whistledown, the series follows the well-off Bridgerton family. It is Daphne Bridgerton (Phoebe Dynevor) and Duke of Hastings, Simon Basset (Regé-Jean Page), at the end of the premiere episode that has you wanting to watch more of this show. The duo fake their relationship to get Daphne better quality suitors and have Simon left alone. The score alongside the narration and the scene bring the final moments of the episode together nicely.

Comedy/Reality TV: Teen Mom 2, “Just Don’t Sink It” – A never-ending tragic saga.

I really like Jade and it makes me so sad to see how she continuously puts herself through pain by giving people in her life multiple chances and  yet they continue to take advantage of her. This week her child’s father decided to smash one of her windows in because of an argument they were having. Letting him back into the house after only being gone for a short while and still not having much to show for it seemed like a bad call. I really want the best for Jade and her daughter, but it seems like every time she gets things heading in the right direction it’s because of those around her that cause more destruction. She definitely just needs to cut some people off for a little while for her daughter and her own mental health.

Sci-fi/Fantasy: The Expanse, “Gaugamela” – A fatality.

Fred Johnson (Chad L. Coleman) gets shot three times in the chest and, unfortunately, dies from his wounds. He leaves them with the message of where the protomolecule is before he dies though. The scene is a heavy yet quick one to watch. We see the blood floating through the air as they move his body, but he is not able to make it to recovery from the wounds.
